Ronin’s Last Entry of 2017

As you’ve probably read on here, I’m getting married on December 29th.  My fiance Leslie has been really good about letting me watch every Dolphins game this year and over the past two years since we first met.  However, with Christmas, the wedding, her mom’s birthday, New Year’s Eve, and us departing for the Bahamas all happening within the next 10 days, this will be my last blog entry in the 2017 year.  I know Ken (3pmi) would much appreciate a fill-in for me during my time away, but I will be back in 2018.  If anyone wants to...

Patriots X’d Out/Bills Week

Well, who saw that game coming on Monday Night? I’d like to say I did, but I’d be lying to you.  I’m in a weekly pick’em pool and for the MNF game you have to add a score.  If you get the score correct, you get a bonus point.  I had New England winning 28-27, so I at least had a bead on Miami’s output.  But I did not see the defense playing the way they did.  What a sweet win it was! The victory give Miami somewhat of a legitimate playoff chance.  Thanks to cbrad, it seems like...

The Night Courage Wore Orange

What’s a Dolfan to do these days? The Dolphins won a meaningless game last week against Denver in impressive fashion.  The win puts Miami’s potential for a top 10 draft pick at risk, but still doesn’t put them in a realistic playoff scenario.  The schedule brings the New England Patriots to Miami for a Monday Night Football Matchup.  While it’s 9 days off from the actual date, for some reason on the drive into work today I got to thinking about “The Night Courage Wore Orange”. For those that don’t know, it’s the title of a highlight video on...

So…what now?

I’m posting this entry in the Club Level as the responses in the main forum have been what you’d expect.  My hope is that it’ll generate more conversation here rather than calls to fire Adam Gase, Mike Tannenbaum and to burn down Dolphins HQ in Davie. Sorry I’m a few days late in getting the blog posted.  We’re officially in high-gear for final wedding preparations and with my mom’s birthday, my fiance’s birthday and her mother’s birthday all this month, things have been a bit hectic.  Hectic is probably a good word to describe the manner of the offseason...

So, what’s everyone doing for Thanksgiving?

My entire family are Cincinnati Bengals fans other than me, of course, and my youngest brother.  He’s a Buccaneers fan for whatever reason.  Even he felt bad that Tampa Bay won the game yesterday.  Miami’s 4-6 with two games against New England remaining.  Miami’s best hope is 8-8 at this point.  Somehow, someway, even at 4-6, they’re still only a game back of the wild-ca ***Flag*** False start on Jermon Bushrod. Yesterday’s game was ugly.  Miami started off with a 69 yard run by Damien Williams in a moment of brilliance from the offensive line.  However, Miami’s running game...
