hello all... havent posted in a while but thought id share this news with you before it breaks. my sis is a cop on sobe and she just called me with the news. apparently the cops closed down the mcarther and will refused to use the detour provided...he kept trying to get by the road block. cops got pissed and arrested him and he was drunk... unreal. when will they learn?
If true..you have to just shake your head at the stubborness and ignorance at times of some of these guys.
To be driving after a couple beers is one thing. To be stooopid and disorderly towards cops ESPECIALLY after a few beers is extremely ignorant.
hes gotta be pressing the nerves of this FO with this lack of responsibility as a veteran on a young team
If true, a DUI to go with a gun charge for gambling (I believe that's right) only an off-season or two won't go well with Goodell and/or this team.
I've lived on South Beach for a number of years, know a number of cops from the Pub and hiring them off duty. In all due respect to your sis and the report, I would like to wait a bit for more info before commenting. I am not, in any way, condoning anyone drinking and driving, just prefer to hear all the facts.

IF, in fact, that was true. We don't know that. I have seen things where the cops were not overly friendly or professional. They have been few.
Pretty sure I prefaced my comment with "if true", along with "would have" in my follow up. Thought that would have covered it.
You did, and there is no debate. I may question calling someone a prick, even with an if but, that's just me. LOL
That said, I've been on record in this forum that he strikes me as.....not a nice guy. I don't know the guy. Never met him. But for whatever reason, I've always gotten that vibe from him. His recent scrapes with the law haven't changed that.
Muck, That's fair, and everyone is entitled to their opinion, founded or unfounded. Calling someone a prick is a bit overboard on a public forum. We'll keep it a secret, and I promise not to report it. LMAO!!!
http://www.miamiherald.com/sports/breaking-news/story/1490888.html Here's what's on the Herald. Booked at 10 AM, still in jail at 2PM, on a $1.000 bond sounds very strange.
I have counted no less than eight tags with this info. Good job, aqua! From what I am seeing, you were the first to break the news. Thanks (kinda, because of the circumstance)! See if your sis has any insider info on the Dansby situation!
Not to play semantics, but isn't it different to label someone a jerk than to simply suggest they're acting like one? And again, it was all pre-qualified with "if true...". I'm not too big to apologize or be wrong in public. I just don't think I've been guilty of any of the things you've thought I did today. Not to speculate or judge, but some of the details in that article make me wonder why someone with that home situation would be out that late. I don't know the man and it's not my life. It ain't really my business. I just can't relate to that mindset unless it was a rare occasion, or they were away.
It's a new, forward-thinking, alcohol therapy! I had ACL reconstruction several months ago and have been doing the alcohol therapy thing religiously. (Kidding about the "therapy", not about the reconstruction)
Very disappointing news indeed. Not the kind of judgment you want to see from one of your vets. Maybe this will be a wake up call for him? Otherwise, I see his days in Miami dwindling.
Cut him....he isn't going to anyway better than a nickle/dime 3rd CB option anyway, with a reconstructed ACL, his ability to cut or break on a route, just went out the window...
