Ahhhh, we still love you ya big galute....just wish you had've greased MY palms before throwing in the flag...
a 1st rd pick 2 yrs ago and a top 20 pick for the most injury prone player in the league who has NEVER played 16 games in a season....who infact has played 8 games.....8 games the last 2 seasons..... lmao good work E.....good work.
who said I'm throwing in the flag???lol...the Rams are alot better than they were when I took them over..and I still have FA!!!
bob sanders has never had more than 2 ints in a season. should have traded a 6th for jason allen.......he'd atleast be healthy enough to play special teams for you.
Which 5 of you said I wouldnt get a 1st for Sanders? The only one who said I would was Sebo. Oh and for the record, if I needed a safety I would have GIVEN a 1st for one of the top 10 defensive players in the league even if it comes with a "when he is healthy" tag.
And yet Sanders has a DPOY award on his resume + multiple pro bowl selections + a 620k salary while Jason allen is a bubble player and a $4M price tag + is a marginal dime DB.
hes not top 10 defensive player. because you make it seem the "when hes healthy" tag isnt a big deal. hes never played 16 games ever. he has never passed 2 ints in a season. he has played 8 games in the last 2 years and hes not getting younger. hes not worth a 3rd imo cause you'd hope a 3rd would contribute more than 5 or so games a season
I have no problem admiting I am one of those 5. I would have never given you a 1st for Sanders. Sick is right, a guy who plays half the season, every season just isn't worth it. JMO.
jason allen has 5 ints to sanders 6.......allen has been in the league 2 less seasons and barely sees the field
So you think a 3rd pick would have a greater impact then Sanders? Thats insane...quite hilarious but insane nonetheless. You take INT's as the measuring stick for an "in the box safety" whose biggest attributes are the season-ending hits he lays and his prowess vs the run.
2 -2009 6 -2008 15 -2007 4 -2006 14 - 2005 4 -2004 those are bob sanders games started since 2004................comon boik
agreed. powers and sims are good players though....just imo 17th overall and chris long are a little much....colts won the trade
but the impact he makes on the field is undeniable its the risk you take. Youre free to agree or disagree. Colts this year gave up 19.2PPG, sanders played only 2 games. When he did play it was 10PPG allowed. 9.2 differential. It was 17PPG in the postseason. In 2008 6 games played. The colts for the year allowed 18.6 PPG. With Sanders in the lineup it was 15PPG 3.6 differential. In the 2008 postseason it was 28PPG without Sanders. In 2007 Sanders played 15 games. The Colts D allowed 16.4PPG (1st overall), 14PPG without sanders. neg 2.4 differential. minimal differential difference in the playoffs In 2006 Sanders played 4 games. They gave up 22.5 overall 20.5 without sanders. In 2005 Sanders played 14 games. The Colts D gave up 15.4 (1st overall), 13PPG without Sanders. In the Postseason without Sanders it was 21PPG without Sanders. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/gamelog?playerId=5569&sYear=2008 http://www.nfl.com/stats/categoryst...sonType=REG&tabSeq=2&qualified=true&Submit=Go
This is how I made my decision on this trade. I have a trade pending to replace Long with a MUCH better player so he was expendable. And for the 17th T got a starting DT and CB. Sanders was really just an add on. I already have Weddle and Butler. If he plays 2 games he's still an improvement over Hart.
damn St. Louis... I wasn't kidding about Chris Long... wish you would have let me make a serious play for him, didn't know you were within seconds of trading him.
This is all my fault... if I would have only agreed to trade Will Allen and Cameron Wake for Bob Sanders... this wouldn't have happened...
