    I disagree.

The US had their forecheck goin' and they busted serious ***.

the Canucks scoring chances were better and they had the best player in the world.

Yeah...sorry Ovechkin fans...Sid the Kid is a pain in the ***.

The game was very good great By USA but it seemed like Canda just turned another gear for Sudden Death. It was very exciting. This is coming from a non hockey fan.

Disagree Sick, Miller gave up the hockey equivalent of a Bill Buckner play. A Goalie is expected to make that play 99.99% of the time.

Ryan Miller would say the same thing, he gave up a dummy goal when it mattered.

Thanks. Head very high right now, especially since you didn't deserve it. Miller did however, but not your team. The Gold has found its rightful owner.

And by the way, we in Canada don't give a **** about the other sports, so your comment really doesn't bother us.

I thought the US were the better side quite honestly. Canada very fortunate to pull it out, had they lost that country would have been in shambles. Hockey means so much to them. I mean to come back from 2 down is very solid and to get the equalizer with some 30 seconds to go... wow... As an old hockey fan who had not been much interested in the sport the last 10 years, I'm excited about the future of these guys. Some young talent on this US team. I might actually start watching the Kings again. Dustin Brown and Jack Johnson were solid all tourney long.

Good Post!..I think the real winner is the NHL. It might bring some people back to the game that have deserted it for awhile. On a personal note..I was so sick and tired of NBC and the whole PR thing about making this memories of Lake Placid and rivalry. This was so far removed from 1980 that you would need a telescope to find it. It was about the NHL and trying to sell Hockey again in this country. Its a great sport to alot of people..but to make it more than that is just plain advertising and promotion.

What is hilarious is the fact that you mention class and fail to see the reflection in the mirror, especially considering what the US women's hockey team did - on separate occasions mind you. Why does it matter if it was the women or the men?

You guys show lack of class on many levels and call out others when it goes against you or try to diminish the releveance of your actions by referencing the specific sport and or sex of the athletes.

Good job. Would love to see the reaction if Canadian players (men or women) stepped on the United States' flag. Oh my what an epic post that would've been here.

Well, I was gonna come in and do the obligatory congrats, but honestly could not have better commented on Ton_E comments than you did Section. Tip of the cap my friend. Only thing I can add is exactly what my mom said to me in an exchange of emails. And, I quote "I'm sorry but you can bet your --- they knew we were there!!!!!!!!!!!!"

You bet your a$$ on that one Mom!

So, to Tone_E, and all the others like him, all I can say is bring your football helmet and shoulder pads down stateside and let's see who's #1 in a real man's sport. BTW, the field is a little narrower, and the end zones aren't quite as deep. So, whereas we play by your sport, and by your rules, and basically give you all you can handle (and then some), are you sure you wanna play with the big boys? More over, do you think you can?

To everyone else, basically all the respectivefull Canadians, I just wanna say congratulations on a well earned victory. You all definitely deserve to enjoy what your team delivered today. Hopefully, we get a chance to rematch in 2014. It would certainly make for an entertaining game.

BTW, what was the final medal count anyway?

    CANADA! CANADA!! CANADA!!!

What a hockey game!! Just an all around great game. Ryan Miller is incredible, absolutely incredible.

The gold is where it belongs!!

Total medal count is pointless IMO... its the GOLD medal count that matters. Gold is the measure of greatness in the olympics. How many golds you win, is how many events your country was the BEST at. Why brag about winning medals for second and third place??? But hey, if thats what you want to cling to and it makes you guys happy, so be it. Nothing like celebrating finishing second and third :tongue2:

If thats how you want to look at it, but most countries the world over consider gold medal performance the standard for "winning" at the olympics.

Hang on to football my friend. Is that sport in the summer or winter olympics? Oh yeah, it isn't in either. Why? Because only the USA plays the sport ( I won't count the CFL, I'm in agreement with you there) and claim to be dominant in the world. No S**t. The only sport the USA dominates is basketball, we know that, you know that.

"Come south of the border to play a real man's sport". LOL. Seriously.

Ignorance is bliss they say. Let's see your highly touted football players go and play rugby or aussie rules football. Fly overseas and step up with the big boys.....

If you don't consider me respectful, that is fine. I give it where it is due. And #### Crosby remarks don't warrant that and is the root of my remarks.

Medal count? See Brandon's post above.

Seriously..."Calgary Beef" like a canadian tourist once told me in Costa Rica..."The best in the world".

Not better than regualr WAGU in the US of A...not better than the beef in Argentina.

Then you have Molson. WTF? That is a beer? really?

Then the flag. it is red with a god damn maple leaf. come on. a maple leaf. no stars..no hammer and sickle, not even stripes. They have "bars" and a Maple leaf. Looks like the national emblem for a Syrup conglomerate.

The women..pasty...mostly blond...but with noticeable pot bellies from the long winters.

hate to quote a movie..but I will...(I will modify it though)..

On the 7th day God rested..but on the 6th he admired his creation in North America that would later be called the US of A...he then sat aside somewhere around the Dakota's and took a dump northward and called what came out of him Canada.

Yes really. read some media articles from outside of the US. Nobody cares much about silver and bronze. All it really means is, you were good, but... well... you lost. Here's a pretty colored medal anyways though.

Trust me, I have the utmost respect for the USA. All my clients are American, I manage the US Sales for my company, and I've travelled all over your country and have many close friends there.

In regards to class, I won't go there.

You say #### Crsoby, and I say #### the USA. If you can't understand that the reference is only for Hockey, that is fine as well. There is a hatred there when it comes to hockey, regardless of how good friends are on opposite sides and that shows itself, it is only natural in competition.

Ultimately, a great olympics for both our countries.

    Congrats as well.
