We haven't and have not promised to sign him. Why would we attack the guy for trying to sign elsewhere? We haven't showed him loyalty this offseason - why should he do the same for us?
KP, did you watch the home game against the Patriots? Do you remember early in the 2nd half when Sean Smith, despite perfect coverage, gave up a long touchdown pass to Sam Aiken? Do you remember the scene on the sidelines afterwards when Jason Taylor had his hands on an obviously upset Smith's shoulders and gave him a pep talk? And do you remember how Sean Smith shut down his man for the rest of the game? That's the veteran leadership he brings, and that's why most of us want him back.
The fact that we have shown him no attention. It is only a reach if you see it the way you want to see it. JT's feelings are hurt and he is trying to force the issue by visiting our biggest rival. That is so clear to see. Some just refuse to believe it because of their love for the player. He is playing games again with the FO and the fanbase. He is not the guy everyone thinks he is. JT is self important and cares only about himself. Honestly I dont think we want him back at all and he knows it. As I have said before his ego has been bruised by the FO again because they have other plans.
You sure do make a lot of assumptions here. Here, let me put them in BOLD Did you ever stop to think that maybe he is interested in playing for a defensive guy like Rex, who pretty much has told JT that he will only be used to rush the passer. Do you think that could have anything to do at all with why he might changed his mind about the Jest?
Well if it makes anyone feel better the Jets fans aren't to happy about this either.... http://forums.theganggreen.com/showthread.php?t=55606
holy crap dude read number 9 on this thread.....classy!!!! Good to see that ganggreen is a family forum!!!!
Yeppers RR. He's basically a player coach. And, for this FO not to see that (by not already having him signed) is really beyond me.
At the end of the day he is what he is today. What he has been and what he has meant to this team don't matter to this front office. They are in the business of winning a championship. JT is just one option. They are not going to make a decision on JT until they see who else they can get in the draft to fill that roster spot. If he wants to push the issue, Parcells is just the guy to ignore him.
And yet you enjoy riding Ricky, if you are going to call people out then dont be such a hypocrite in the first place.
If JT signs with the JEST he's officially dead to me...any other team I don't care, I could even accept the Pats or Bills, just not the damn JEST!!!!
I just threw up in my mouth a little bit. Want to know why I never bought your jersey JT? Right here , this is why. I bought Zach's jersey though. He must be pissed at his sister for marrying a prima donna like you. Sign with the jesters you whore. I'll LMAO when Ronnie uses you for a speedbump.
He'll never sign with the JETS, he has made it well known over the years that he loathes them and he doesn't need the money that bad. This is just a ploy to get the Dolphins all worked up so they sign him. Which they probably should...........
HAHA.....it won't happen, so don't get all excited. JT is just tryin to get the Dolphins to realize what he can still do. The F/O better not mess this up, he has done more than enough for this franchise not to sign him to the end of his career. He is still productive and fills a badly needed hole in our defense, not to mention the team leader and mentor he is to our younger players. That alone is worth it....imo
I would hope this is an attempt to get some leverage for negotiations with Miami. JT only has one more shot at a decent contract, I can't really blame him if he isn't getting any other offers but damn it would be devastating to see him in Jest Green. He has to sign outside of the division if not here.
What with all the money this FO has wasted on crap signings like Wilford and Wilson, they can afford to make the right PR move here and sign him for 2 yrs/$4 mil. IMO, that would get it done and in the grand scheme of things that is a pittance for a player of his stature.
