Roethlisberger suspended for six games Link here: http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=5121614
4 game minium.....could be less than 6 games...if he really F's it up during the process could be extended beyond 6. My quess is 4 will be it. official blurb on NFL.com http://www.nfl.com/news/story?id=090...s&confirm=true
I can't imagine anyone would give up a top 10 pick for him. I think he's vastly overrated IMO. He put on a hell of a show for that final drive vs. az but outside of that I think he's been a benefactor of surrounding talent.
put tom brady or pey pey manning behind that o line and they would be out of football. just an observation
Everyone should take a look at the Steeler's tv schedule....not a single game on national tv while Ben is out, but starting Oct. 31st against New Orleans, the Steelers have about 5 national tv games from this point onward.
Seattle has TWO number one picks. I could see Ben being traded to the Seahawks. You know Pete Carroll isn't smiling with Hasselbeck and Whitehurst as their QB's.
sorry. that's all goodell. the commish wants to appear like a disciplinarian, but he doesn't want it cutting into the league's profits
Steelers are apparently dead serious about moving Rothlesberger: If I were the 49ers...with 2 #1 picks...bustish Qb..
try not to gloat padre. lol but i think we have seen ben's last game in a Stiller uni. in conclusion, goodell must be destroyed.
Rolle thinks Big Ben suspension "awesome" http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...-thinks-roethlisberger-suspension-is-awesome/ I love this guy.....to bad he is slow....lolol
Goodell..delende..est! I think it is very very possible that you are right, and Byron Leftwich will be the starter for 2010.
So he's suspended for our date with Pittsburgh at Sun Life... NICE! That's all I was looking for. Very tough stretch on the schedule and we could use the break.
Ben is a sloppy QB, always has been, always will be. Peyton and Brady are technicians, while Ben gets by on physical talent. The guy's a massive QB not unlike Culpepper or McNabb. There's nothing wrong with that...he's done a fantastic job behind that line and has had success in the NFL, however I've never liked him as a QB. He's had the benefit of a top D his entire career, had great RB's, and a solid WR corps. Not trying to take away from his 2 SB's, but I don't believe Ben was the difference in those games. He's going to leave behind a great legacy in Pitt, but he's a good QB in the perfect situation IMO.
Yep, if that happens, he'll be wishing his career had ended with a prison sentence. Best course for punishment would be to re-instate his full 16 games as the Raiders' starter.
Some more dirt on Ben, he seems to be a pretty busy guy at whipping it out when drinking/drunk and though not charged with a crime yet he appears to be well on his way towards that effort if his present course of action continues. No wonder the Steelers want him gone! http://www.thesmokinggun.com/archive/years/2010/0416101ben1.html The full Georgia report, if you care to read all 572 pages of it. http://www.thesmokinggun.com/archive/years/2010/0415101roethlisberger3.html
