Who's still out there that we could be looking for at 40? Obviously pass rusher is a need and Kindle is still on the board.

    Discuss.

Do you guys think there is a need to move up in the 2nd to get anyone in particular???? I think I read Kindle might need some kind of micro-fracture surgery not sure if this has anything to do with us not grabbing him.

Please no Mays. I would be all for Griffen or Kindle, but for some reason I dont like our chances.

there's about 4 safeties left that i'd be perfectly ok with us drafting at 40. And i doubt all of them go by pick 40 so here's hoping.

I think it could be McCluster..do we need him? No, but I know they loved him at the Senior bowl, and all the other RBs marked ahead of him are gone already. I dont know if I want him or not but I just have a feeling he could go here.

i heard several reports about an expected early run at the safety position. many teams were said to be looking for one. a lot of people didnt even expect earl thomas to be there at 12. and everyone knew eric berry was going in the top 10 or better.

Love Morgan Burnett. Like Koa Misi and Cam Thomas alot as well. Not crazy about Wright, Dwyer, or Wooten. DW is almost exclusively an ILB is he not?

I cannot disagree with this more. Now, if you think that Odrick sucks, thats different. But lets give these guys the benefit of the doubt that they know a good player and won't draft a player in rd one that is horrible.

If hes good, this makes a WHOLE BUNCH of sense. Its not like drafting a fourth running back, when you only play with one at a time. You have two DEs in on every play. And to be honest, outside of Starks, our DEs havent been stellar. Langford good, Merling just ok. This guy is going to give us a boost. Hes young, he plays with a good motor, and he will bring more pass rush than Langford, for sure. And as Gruden said, when he hits the QB, the guy "goes down hard". Thats good stuff. We needed it. It wasn't our biggest need, but when you pick on need, you end up reaching. Pick quality and you wont' go wrong. Odrick was/is a quality pick.

We just picked up Dobbins. How many ILB do we carry? Dansby and Crowder are locks. Dobbins, probably. Do you pick a guy in the second round that might not make the team? Is he better than Torbor?

Everson Griffen or Sergio Kindle at OLB would be logical, shame Hughes didnt make it.

Nate Allen or Taylor Mays at safety (with coaching I think Mays can turn into a real playmaker).

Offensively Im not seeing any obvious names, though maybe Rob Gronkowski at TE. Reports had him rising fast as a possible late day 1 early day 2 pick.

I agree 100%. I'd rather take Gronkowski at 40, but I have a feeling about McCluster being the pick here too.

I'm from Tucson and Gronkowski is a beast, watched him play many times! I hope they take him at #40, I could see Parcells doing this........or maybe not

He would be a nice asset to our offense and a solid pick. I wouldn't be surprised to see us take FS or LB considering they are our biggest needs, but who? :shifty:

The only thing Id worry about is his back. Reports are that hes feeling fine, but back problems really have a history of being a lingering issue that never really goes away once you have them. Back problems in college scare me more than just about any other injury.

I'm not convinced we won't try to trade back again, but it will be hard for us as this is our only second rounder. I think tonight is the night New England trades around with folks and stockpiles the picks. They went into last night with 3 second rounders, how many more picks did they get trading back twice. I know the last one got them a 4th rounder but they are loading up big time.:pity:

OLB in round #2 (Worilds, Sapp or Kindle)

FS in round #3 (Allen, Burnett or Wright).

And, don't be surprised if we trade down (again) in round #2.

They picked up a 4th from Denver, then traded their 4th to Dallas, but picked up Dallas' 3rd in the trade with them. So, in effect, they gained a 3rd and moved up six spots in the 4th.

I hate Billicheat, but no one works a draft board better. He's the devil.

The only way they take Tate is if he is the BPA, as with Odrick.
