Seeing it is what 21 days away, I figured to get the football heads on here amped up and ready...the following is a Nike commercial, and it is pretty pretty good....check it out....I am shutting down for a month when this thing starts up.....can't wait to play England, thats like the Jets for me haha...sorry Boom.....

    http://sports.yahoo.com/soccer/blog...ad-is-three-minutes-of-awesome?urn=sow,242594

    in order....

11-Drogba/Ivory Coast dribbling to open it about to score...then...

6-Fabio Cannavaro/Italy denies it, the guy is my height and is the arguabily the best defender in the world right now.....then...

10-Wayne Rooney/England--who has the label of choker(should be interest on what he does this WC)...blows it, gets pass picked by 7 Franck Ribery/France (love the France/England thing), and then gets sent to purgatory hahaha funny....then...Americans love it......Rooney makes it right, bxngs the queen.....Americans hate it....Rooney crushes Ferderer at table tennis....then....

14 Kaka/Brazil and 9 Ronaldinho/Brazil (the best midfield duo in the world IMO) makes really hard sheet look easy....Kobe..and hot Brazilian chicks (2014).....then

it ends with the IMO the best player in the world Christano Ronaldo/ Portugal....who is just a human highlight film.....

I cant wait, I am shutting down for a month starting June11.....

I have to admit, ESPN is doing an outstanding job with the presentation and advertisement for the cup. Never been a big soccer fan, but these commercials make me WANT to watch it.

I wish they did this good of a job with the NBA.

The thing is and I have always told people who dont usually watch soccer, the the World Cup and the Euro Cup are the 2 tournaments that you must watch an a non-soccer watcher.....This is far from MLS trash, and crappy overseas leagues...these are the best players, from around the world, who play on all the best teams worldwide...not a sprinkled few players on otherwise boring teams....alla Beckham in MLS....it is non-stop action fun, and is very exciting.....I cant say enough about the crowds in those games....people make a big deal about some American places to play in and they are tough hhahahahha....check out Brazil, Italy, Portugal, England, the US, good stuff you wont be disappointed...

I actually think the for the majority of managers, they already have their minds made up as to who goes on the plane to South Africa.

These friendly games at the moment are just an exercise to get the players playing as a cohesive unit and not really for the purpose of players fighting to get a spot in South Africa.

Oh of course, internationals dont come around too often and when you are so close to the World Cup then we all get excited at seeing our team play.

I do think the US will be dangerous this year though.

I'm not a soccer fan but I do watch the World Cup. It's actually the only soccer tourny I find interesting to watch. The skill level is just light years better all-round.

Anyway, I'm from Australia, and I hope we do well in it. At least get to the second stage that is and kick some butts along the way.

Hey, Aussies missed the quarter finals by an Italian dive in the penalty box last WC. We suck in talent but make it up with heart.

Cant believe that guy is still playing international football. I remember when he came on loan to Newcastle and he was awful. Needless to say his loan spell was not made permanent.

LOL. Why has Wayne Rooney got the label as a choker? Who has ever said that about him?

League Champion, FA Cup winner, European Cup winner, Golden Boot winner, European footballer of the year, one of the best 4 or 5 players in the world at worst.

The World Cup will be won by one of 5 teams, Brazil, Argentina, England, Italy or Spain. Spain have the strongest squad and it's hard to see past them.

On the WC stage, he doesnt show up, never scores, England expect results on the grandest of stages, and he has yet to do it, regardless of how great his career has been thus far...

Now saying that Boom, I expect him to show up this year, he is a little older, he is injury free, had arguablly his best year ever, and has more experience..an English team that needs him to perform....I can only hope England and Portugal play this year, after the little spat, him, Carvalho, and Ronadlo had a few years back.....

Not to beat a dead horse, but Australia failed to score when Italy was in ten men for the majority of the game as well. The dive, that is up for debate but we are both biased I'd say.

Boomer, I just don't know what to expect from Argentina with Maradonna at the helm. What was he thinking in not calling Cambiaso and Milito.

One thing for sure, I'm anxiously waiting to see Sergio Aguero on the world stage.

Lets be factual and realistic about this. He's played in two major tournaments, Euro 2004 and the 2006 WC. In Euro 2004 he tore the tournament open and England would have won that competition had he not been injured in the quarter final when 1-0 up.

In the 2006 World Cup, he broke his foot just before the end of the Premiership season and was patently unfit.

To say he "never shows up" and "never scores" is fantasy.

He's their X Factor in a bad way. The un-X factor if you will. That said, they have so much talent in that squad with Mascherano and Aguero and Messi, Tevez, Higuan, Di Maria, Pastore, Diego Milito, etc., that they'll be hard to beat.

Come on Boom, you know me, I hate would haves, should haves, the fact is he hasn't performed on the WC stage yet (and I stress yet, I think he goes off this year), and has been marred by injuries at key times......I can see where there are some concerns from the community about him....its like saying Ronnie Brown would have been a top 3 RB, the year he he tore his foot...

Again though, the man has been brillant this past year, and defiantely see him tearing this tournament open as well, however does the pressure of the biggest stage get to him?? I love Euro, but lets face it, WC is in a league of its own...

Mate, England were the best team in that tournament and he tore Croatia apart and they were well on their way to beating Portugal in the quarters before his injury.

How can the pressure of the biggest stage get to him when he's only played in two major international tournaments and in one he was the best player in it and in the other, he came in off the back of a broken foot and was playing at about 70%? You would get laughed off the planet with that opinion my man.

Would you say the same about the best player in the world, Lionel Messi? Because essentially his World Cup story is the same as Rooney's? Of course you wouldn't.
