I think the Dolphins aren't the only ones hedging their bets here Rotoworld..:D

Sparano has an excellent rep among fmr players, the only one who took a swipe at him was Joey da Turd, and that was based on Cam Wake and C Anderson moving Porter off the field due to ineffectiveness.

How come the Dolphins site says it's day 17? Must be adding an extra day in there somehow.

In any event, it's not based off of tweets but still relevant about Jason Allen.

    Grr...

    :headwall:

Of all of the things I do not like about pro sports..this is my pet peeve, "it weren't me who messed up...money...it's the shoes.."

(Realize that a very old Nike Spike Lee ad is lost on many)

The gloves, the shoes, what have you, shut..up...just catch the ball..

i dont understand why marshall dropping balls in practice or preseason is a big deal. the guy is a pro bowl receiver. shouldnt that allay any concern?

    Exactly..blame it on the gloves?

Of all of the B$, if you drop a pass you drop a pass, dust yourself off and catch the next one, do not blame the model of Wr glove, that is silly.

So... when exactly did he stop wearing the correct gloves that allowed him to put on a show two weeks ago? And why is he still wearing the magical catch-negating gloves now in practice?

I thought Marshall came out on Monday and said he had no excuses for his drops in the Bucs game? Now he is saying he had the wrong gloves? Which is it? Or did he not realize he had the right gloves until after the original statement was given?

Was he wearing the gloves again in practice during punt-gate?

Damn these media types for not getting us the details we need to know!?!?!

I'm with Pad on this one. If you drop one, dust it off, say nothing and just catch the next pass thrown your way.

    Action > Words.

I think you're reading it wrong. It says the team's nickel corner, JA typically stays on the outside no? I don't recall him playing the slot much in his history here.

Despite what people may think, I honestly don't feel like this is a big issue on its own. In fact, I wasn't even calling in to Sick's show to discuss Brandon Marshall. Sick brought me on and said I disagreed with con on how big a deal this was, so I went with it. It is only a big deal if it continues.

I imagine that after today, we won't see this anymore. At least I hope. I would much rather discuss how awesome he is playing and how he faceplanted some poor DB or something.

Sounds about right, for whatever reason Merlng just did not have any sort of motor.

If it were the NBA Merling would have one move, and did not hustle down the floor or for loose balls..

Agree. I don't mind getting one last one off at a scoff to the media, but from now on I'd hope for him to steer clear of this type of behavior. Not so much because itself is a big deal, but I f'n hate giving jet fans something to talk about.

This isn't good. I'm sure there are a lot of #19 gloves left over... it wasn't just Ted Ginn, it was the entire Ginn family! Noooooooo!!!!!

No offense Pads, but IF BM was wearing the wrong gloves, the ball would go right through his hands just like it did Saturday. On the dig route drop, BM tried to catch the ball as if it were not raining at all, when, if he were expecting trouble, he'd have caught it against his body.

Same goes for wrong cleats, if you're wearing 1/2 inch spikes when you should be wearing 3/4 inch spikes, you're in trouble. Kinda feels like youre playing on skates. Just ask the Titans after New England beat them 59-0 in the snow last year.

PW needs to sharpen his blade.

Vontae is a trip, and hit the nail on the head, BMarsh thinks like a Defensive player, and that is not the first time that has been said about his game.

Boy, Pat White is looking pretty damn terrible out there, isn't he? I think he's thrown the most interceptions I've ever read about in practices. What does he have, like 9?

I don't know, but Dan LeFevour had 4 the other day in Bears practice, and I know Colt McCoy has had a few days with multiple picks.

Wow, that Brandon Marshall punting the ball must be dividing this team like mad. All the hoopla, all the disrespect he shows......

Oh wait, you mean his teammates are ribbing him for it? That sounds like chemistry rather than division doesn't it? They are taking it to him and at the same unifying themselves behind him as well in a "look, I can do it too" schtick.

That's great. Great stuff. Very funny.

Let em talk about how they can't even get respect in a stadium they co own. Or the latest version of where's Revis?

When did what Jets fans say matter? They're Jets fans, doesn't that say enough?

We're starting to see the negative aspect of trading for a guy like Brandon Marshall. Every little thing gets WAY overblown, and it's starting to get annoying.

Guys who have been problems in the past always attract this kind of media attention. If that was Bess, no one would care. If it was Ronnie, no one would care. It's just annoying because it's not a big deal yet because of Marshall's past everyone keeps talking about it.

Don't get me wrong, I love Marshall and will gladly take this negative attention if he produces like he usually does. It's just a little annoying right now to have to keep seeing in everything report I read.
