The 6-foot-7, 325-pound Garner, a fourth-year pro out of Arkansas, is expected to miss eight weeks http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000...-weeks-after-foot-surgery?module=HP_headlines Didn't see this posted its not good news.
Thats quite the letdown. He's a good player that played well for us last year, and can play multiple positions. We really could have used him.
Damn. Garner was one of my sleepers this year to possibly start, and even if he didn't, he was great depth along the line. Terrible news.
absolutely awful news for the OL at the G and T position thins us out. Pod will be here to say I told you so in 3...2...1
Losing Garner hurts us bro. You know just as much as I know it. I was in his corner, still am. Losing Nate hurt you bad too Don't pretend it don't
No sand in that bucket bro, expect to see Incognito and Thomas (if Jerry is injured) in Game #1. They will maul some folks.
one of the better positions for us to lose some depth. so far we're flirting with disaster but avoiding the big injury. Just glad it didnt come on the defensive line or RB
What this could do is allow someone like Andrew Hartline to sneak on to the roster. He has some versatility. Playing center now and as I recall was a tackle in college. He could end up being another Garner for us. With foot injuries being so unpredictable in recovery time, I would not be surprised if we IR Garner. Even if he does come back after 5 weeks of regular season, his lower unit won't be in the shape it needs to be to compete at his normal level. He would likely not be able to contribute much till like November/December.
There will be guys when teams get to the 53 man cut down date that we can pick up....it hurts losing a quality o-lineman but hopefully nothing bad happens the rest of training camp/pre-season....I won't say anything else as I don't want to jinx us.
Well that sucks I would keep him around on the 53 then....He will miss 4 games and should be good to go
