Kind of shocked about this one, I like Nalbone, but it still shocks me.

I wonder if the injury is the main reason?

I liked Haynos but with Martin back I think we"ll be okay an tight end without him.

I don't really understand why so many people dislike Haynos. He played alright when he saw the field. Also caught a huge touchdown pass against the Jets. I wish him well in his recovery and his future.

He is just a guy , imo , and in all likeyhood was not going to develop into much more than he is.

He is replaceable , and we should be able to find a better TE after cutdowns.

Time for Lombala to get some TE snaps maybe?

Haynos was just a guy. I think that Sparano was specifically talking about Haynos when he said there is a time limit to how long you can wait for a guy to heal. That time limit is related to how good you think that player is/will be. It seems that with Haynos' upside that time limit is about 3 days.

Don't worry. We're taking a TE in either in the first or third round of next year anyway.

Nalbone is a scrub, I much preferred Haynos just for blocking sake.

If Lumbala has shown anything at TE, (I don't even know if they're still trying him there), then they might just cut Nalbone too an give him another year on the PS.

Well, I'm a big fan of CFL to NFL guys, but Lumbala has to turn his game up to stick imho, he has a all around game but I haven't noticed him on kickoff or punt coverages, or working as a H-Back.

Odd thing is, has anyone seen Lex Hilliard?

Or Dobbins, there was a large faction of Dobbins supporters to replace Crowder.

Joey Heinous... never did it for me, personally think he was too tall, never played with good leverage and was slower than an ox getting downfield.

I wish him well. Watched several games last season with members of his extended family. He comes from good people.

BTW, what was the extent of his injury? I never heard. Looked fairly serious from what I saw.

Looked like a foot injury. For a tall dude like him, that's like death career-wise.

Not too surprising. By the way, the Broncos picked up Kory Sperry a couple days ago...saw this on a Denver new's station.

    Waived/injured.

If he clears waivers, he reverts back to the Dolphins and goes on injured reserve. From there, they can keep him or try and reach an injury settlement.

Well, Haynos got a second opinion and was waived...:shifty:

All the ILB's getting run time makes more sense now, Johnson, Anderson, Crowder may not be ready.

Unsurprising, considering his lack of ability. Perhaps next year we get the free safety and playmaking tight end we need.

Nope, that indicates to me that he was told to get some surgery, and is now checking other opinions. While not a huge Dobbins fan, he will do alright in replacing him, and if we can develop Micah Johnson, we may have a good rotation. Shame that we had to lose Edds so early as well.

Starting to wonder though if Crowder may see the field again, guy is getting more and more beat up rapidly. Make no mistake, this is a loss for this team, though it could have been much worse.

The scuttlebutt about the injury was that it might be an achilles tendon tear. It sounded like they had to wait for the swelling to go down to in order to get x-rays done. I liked Haynoes as a blocker and I think we will miss him in goalline situations where he is mainly used to put a helmet on the guy in front of him and creater a push for Ricky/Ronnie. But he had enough talent to make a block and sneak out into the endzone to catch a play action TD as well.

Probably easily replaced from a talent standpoint, but he seemed like a standup guy, and you never like to see those guys go if you can help it (Camarillo, Welker, Thomas, etc.)
