Keywords in my post were "touted as the NEXT Cristiano Ronaldo", so hes not there yet but could be. hes still young, 19 to be exact. With that level of skill that he has, he could be VERY good under the teachings of Arsene Wenger. I think he could be as good as C. Ronaldo.

    Great post.

About Maldini, I think is time for him to say good bye just like he did with the Azzuri, I hope his son continue the Maldini legacy some day, I would love watch him one more season though, but seems that's not gonna happen.

Kaladze would be useful as a sub, but too expensive. He's not the same player anymore.
Gilardino proved that he is not worth playing in Milan, or he's not for a club like Milan.
Serginho is clearly diminishing, more this season than any other.

Gunners want Vela back - Agent

"Arsenal's Carlos Vela, currently on loan at Osasuna, is wanted back at the Emirates Stadium by the Gunners, according to his agent.

The 18-year-old Mexican is currently on a season-long loan in Pamplona with the option for a further year's loan.

Eduardo Hernandez claims Vela has impressed Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger with his performances in Spain and says the Gunners want the teenager back "as soon as possible".

Hernandez said: "I have talked with him. Carlos has the chance to return to Arsenal in August. He only wants to play. He knows that the opportunity will come sooner or later as he has a contract with Arsenal.

"I haven't talk with the Gunners representative yet, but I know that they want Carlos back as soon as possible."

    Keegan: Keane To Manage United

"Keegan and Keane face each other this weekend in the Tyne-Wear derby at St James’ Park, with Newcastle looking secure a top-half finish and Sunderland hoping to drag themselves clear of the relegation scrap.

It is perhaps remarkable that the Black Cats are in the Premier League this season at all. Keane miraculously steered them to promotion from the Coca-Cola Championship last season despite the fact they were flirting with relegation to League One when he took over mid-term.

And Keegan is full of praise for Keane’s efforts, claiming his stabilising of Sunderland has been every bit as impressive as Newcastle’s third-place finish in their first Premier League season in 1994.

“You can't argue he's done a great job there,” he said. “It's different to when I did it last time. You could come up and then really make a charge, but that's not possible any more.

“You'd be amazed if that happened now because of the finances of the big clubs, the players they can attract and the size of the squads. Because of those differences, what Roy has achieved is similar to what I achieved when we finished third.”"

Levante players threaten strike over unpiad wages

"MADRID, Spain (AP) - Levante may not play next week's Spanish league game with Recreativo Huelva after its players threatened a two-day strike over unpaid wages.

Levante captain Luis Rubiales said the team had unanimously backed the action for the weekend of April 26-27. The game in Huelva is that Sunday.

"This action is legal. It is not just a stoppage. We will be open to negotiations but we are going to take this to the limit," Rubiales was quoted as saying by El Pais on Friday.

If Levante fails to play, the match would be awarded to Recreativo with a 3-0 score.

The newspaper said the club owes players a total of euro18 million (US$28.7 million). In February, some players said they have had their houses repossessed, while others said they had sold their cars and had their bank accounts frozen."

Looks like the same problem is lying in all of Europe.

IMO, I'don't know if Vela is ready yet to play with the Gunners, I mean, I don't see him making a big impact, but that's good news for him if he's wanted, definitely will improve his tecnique in the PL.

Well he is still young and could be brought on slowly like Walcott has been with Wenger. I think Vela could play I guess its "garbage minutes" and learn from veterans and Wenger.

My two favorite players are: Kaka and Dinho........and what's funny about this is that time ago when I was in Italy, I thought that Brasilian players were very good, but not for the Italian Campionato, since in Italy we are playing very tight without give you the time to showcase you talent.......I was wrong I guess.

    Walcott wants more at Arsenal

Theo Walcott is ready to confront Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger over his lack of first-team opportunities.

The 19-year-old forward has been used mainly as an impact substitute since joining the Gunners for £12million in January 2006.

He spoke to Wenger earlier this season about what he needed to do to figure more prominently.

Walcott insists he has done everything asked of him and is frustrated his hard work has not paid off.

    A stroll through Italy's Serie A

    Trez seeks goal crown

David Trezeguet has set his sights on finishing the season as the top goalscorer in Serie A.

The Juventus striker notched up his 18th goal of the campaign in the 3-0 win over Parma on Wednesday to take him one behind the current leader Marco Borriello.

The French star said: "Borriello is having an extraordinary season but I want that top goalscorer crown.

"I just have to keep on scoring the way I have been and then we'll see what happens."

The 31-year-old's best league haul for the Turin club came back in the 2001-02 season when he netted 24 goals to finish that season's joint-top scorer in Serie A.

    Pato gives AC Milan boost

Alexandre Pato is set to make a return for AC Milan this weekend.

The 18-year-old has been out of action for a month with a muscle strain which left the club's medical staff baffled.

The young Brazilian announced his arrival on the Serie A scene back in January with a goal on his debut against Napoli.

Since then the precocious youngster has scored a further six goals in 14 Serie A outings but has also been hampered by a series of niggling injuries.

Coach Carlo Ancelotti's side face Reggina at the weekend and know they need to pick up maximum points to keep their hopes of finishing in the top four alive.

There was further good news on the injury front with Massimo Oddo returning to training ahead of schedule just two weeks after knee surgery.

Fabregas happy to stay with Gunners

"Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas says he "hopes" his future remains with the Gunners, speaking after Saturday's win over Reading.

Fabregas was impressive in his side's 2-0 Premier League victory over Reading at the Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners - whose hopes of the title and European glory have evaporated in recent weeks - started well, with recalled Theo Walcott impressing and Emmanuel Adebayor put them ahead on the half hour.

Gilberto doubled the lead following a deflection off Reading defender Andre Bikey and it could have been more in the second half as Arsenal twice hit the woodwork.

And answering questions about his future, he told Sky Sports 1: "My future? I really hope it belongs to Arsenal."

Fabregas is clearly hurt by his side's failure to win a trophy this season and is keen to finish the season strongly.

"Today was important for pride, for the fans, for ourselves. We are all disappointed for the season, how it finished. I think we did pretty well all season but at the end it was disappointing.

"We needed a performance like this to try to finish as best we can.

"We don't want to always say 'next year, next year'. I think it is a mistake. We want to do it now."

    Totti the star turn

Luciano Spalletti has hailed Francesco Totti for his match-winning performance in the Italian Cup.

Despite only returning to action last weekend, the AS Roma captain played the entire ninety minutes against Catania and fired the only goal of the game to give the side from the capital a slender first-leg semi-final advantage.

    Party time for Palladino

Raffaele Palladino has been celebrating his birthday in the best way possible.

The Juventus striker turned 24 on Thursday and marked the occasion 24-hours earlier with a wonderful goal in his side's 3-0 victory over Parma in their rearranged Game Day 31 fixture.
