Yeah that is usually what I do when I end up missing a draft, hoping someone's QB goes down this weekend lol, and can get a nice return on Brett Favre. May end up being my blessing in disguise, I specifically wrote him down for last pick, since it was still up in the air if he was going to come back .
I like your QB's, Romo should throw for about 30 TDs this year. Henne is a nice backup. I hate your RB's aside from Chris Johnson obviously. Drop Slaton immediately imo. You can find someone better on the WW for sure. SS has neck problems to go with the toe injury, and fumbulitis. Arian Foster should have 1000 yards rushing and 7 total TDs this season i think. Aside from Regie Wayne I don't like your WR that much either. Nicks and Knox have potential...but are either of them the true #1 WR on their team? Steve Smith is still the man for the NYG, and noone has really stood out for the Bears atm. I would drop A Gonzales and Brian Hartline and get something better off of the WW there too. TEs look great. When I draft I want my starters and most of my bench to be the true #1s at their position on their team.
Ya, SS is a POS and should be dropped. Foster should be the biggest steal of this season. His TD potential is ridiculous in that offense. Steve Smith and Nicks should be pretty even in production, imo. Hartline, Britt, and Gonzo are all dropable. Although if the WW is shallow, I'd hang onto Britt for a few weeks to see if he can get it together. He's a moron (like the rest of TEN's offense) so it's not an easy task.
heres my team guys 1) pat white 2) keyshawn johnson 3) alvin harper 4) maurice claurett what do you guys think?
I'm gonna actually put myself to the mercy of a court. I am very iffy on this 12 team ppr league. I need a lot of people to pan out. QB-Aaron Rodgers RB- Jahvid Best RB- Johnathan Stewart WR- Randy Moss WR- Malcom Floyd RB/WR- Matt Forte TE- Owen Daniels DEF- Pitt DEF BEN-Cadillac Williams BEN- Percy Harvin BEN-Donald Brown BEN- Ben Roethlisberger BEN- Derrick Mason BEN-Davone Bess BEN- Fred Taylor Lay into it. I look at myself as a playoff team, but not a league winner.
I think your assessment is somewhat accurate. If you had one more stud WR you'd be way better off. Also, OD is going to be **** this week on limited snaps so I'd jump to the WW for a TE immediately.
Thanks for the breakdown. Yeah I forgot I also have Jermain Gresham. I have him getting the nod this week.
I might be in the same boat. I have Carlson but he scares the **** out of me. Considering starting Gresham or Keller over him.
So I jumped ship on Gresham for Keller this week. Although I'll probably only roster Keller till Holmes comes back from suspension. I still think Gresham could be a steal but it's very difficult to start a rookie TE out the gate and see good production.
Thanks. I was #1 in a 12 team league. So by the time it got back around 24 picks later it was Romo and Wayne (best WR still available) and by the time it came back around another 24 picks later all the #1 RBs and WRs were long gone. There is nothing on the waiver wire. It's bare I have no idea why. I've already dropped Slaton (because someone else dropped Jabar Gaffney for Devin A from chi .. weird). I hope I get him and nobody else does, since Slaton is damaged goods. Anthony Gonzales is already gone. I picked up Isaac Redman because well, with nobody good left available I might as well go for some flyers. These are the top 25 (according to projections available). It's pretty gnarly. I've got my eye on some of the rookies, maybe Schilens when he's healthy?
If that league is ESPN then you really have to dig deep bc their projections are usually somewhat ****ty for FAs. Mike Williams from SEA is another high-upside guy if you don't get Gaffney.
Don't trust those projections. Just search RB or WR. You might have to go a few pages into them. If Justin Forsett is available he would be a great pickup, imo.
Depends who else is there. I like Forsett but SEA has very little going for them. **** OL, old beatup QB, and they just announced Forsett will be their PR which isn't a good sign for his value. I'm still rostering Williams though bc his ceiling will be ridiculously high. Def not expecting much though.
detroit homer snatched up Mike Williams from SEA early. Lol. Same guy who dropped Gaffney for Devin A. It's Yahoo sports. I'll keep digging.
Mark clayton is going to be the rams #1 this yr.. at least for a little while. I know rookie QB and Stephen jackson, but who else is there to catch passes.. Laurent robinson will steal the spotlight soon, but clayton will get his.
I'll believe that when I see it. Clayton's been the same story since he's been in the league. If he couldn't have any kind of a role in BAL, then I don't see it happening quickly in STL. Also, I wouldn't be surprised that STL's TE becomes a big part of that offense. Ammendola will also get some action from the slot.
Percy Harvin did absolutely nothing for me tonight. I'm really regretting not swapping him for Caddy in my flex. Note to everyone else: depth is there to be used.
Yup, it was mostly run game for them tonight. I'd guess Farve isn't where he should be yet and they're gonna try to win with AP until he gets it back. If he gets it back lol Def not a good performance aside from that Shiancoe TD.
Rate this one for me 12 teams, 15 round draft. QB- Joe Flacco WR- Miles Austin WR- Percy Harvin RB- Ray Rice RB- Steven Jackson TE- John Carlson RB/WR- Ronnie Brown DEF- Minnesota K- Robbie Gould Bench RB- Matt Forte RB- Darren Sproles RB/WR- Dexter McCluster WR- Johnny Knox QB- Ben Roethlisberger Def- Giants Harvin and the Minny defense killed me the other night. 3 points total
Knox should be your starting WR2 every week. Other than that I'd look to upgrade TE andthat flex spot. Otherwise I'd say it's a contender.
I would like to upgrade TE from Carlson. Free agent TEs in my league include Pettigrew and Scheffler, Fred Davis, and Anthony Fasano (I usually shy away from drafting Dolphins). I like Pettigrew, but don't know how the split will work in Detroit. Best other free agents are Eddie Royal and Steve Breaston.
I agree. For like a 13th round pick, I think Carlson is a pretty decent tight end to have (Pete Carroll always seems to get good production out of TEs). He's arguably one of the best players on the Seahawks' offense and should get his targets. Percy Harvin worries me. I got him in the 5th round and just missed out on Crabtree later in the draft. I think I will have to sub Knox in until Harvin is healthy.
The only place I think you are hurting at is WR. I don't really like any of your potential WR2s. Maybe trade Ronnie Brown or Matt Forte after they go off for a couple of games for a stud WR? Like slick said, I don't like your TE all that much for fantasy. But, there are very few play every week no matter what TEs anyway. Maybe you can just play matchups if Carlson starts stinking it up. Nice looking team though.
Here is my first ever fantasy draft on nfl.com QB Phillip Rivers RB Chris Johnson RB DeAngelo Williams WR Andre Johnson WR Brandon Marshall WR Greg Jennings TE Dallas Clark K Nate Kaeding D Vikings Bench QB Jay Cutler WR Dez Bryant WR Pierre Garcon RB Steven Jackson RB Shonn Greene TE Anthony Fasano 8 teams in the draft. I thought I did well. Any opinions? Who should I move around? Should I trade anyone?
12 team ppr Tony Romo, Dal QB Ray Rice, Bal RB Arian Foster, Hou RB Larry Fitzgerald, Ari WR Miles Austin, Dal WR Hakeem Nicks, NYG WR John Carlson, Sea TE *Zach Miller Dolphins D/ST, Mia D/ST Neil Rackers, Hou K Alex Smith, SF QB Michael Bush, Oak RB *Gone Marion Barber, Dal RB Jacoby Jones, Hou WR Mike Williams, Sea WR Dustin Keller, NYJ TE I just traded Michael Bush for Zach Miller.
Thanks. Yea the other teams look pretty good as well but I feel like I have a chance. What do you think the weakest part is?
QB. I'd be starting SJ over Deangelo if it's ppr also. Thanks, man. The guy is a beast. 13th round pick.
Your thoughts on my two teams please...not ppr, both 12 team Yahoo leagues...i got stuck with the 12 spot in both of my drafts.
