Sparano is a country music guy..he must have lost a bet! Alright, that settles the injury questions, the SAM questions and Crowders Status, and Dobbins apparently will start. I am curious whether or not Clifton Smith will handle punts and kick offs, or just kick offs, heard some info yesterday that Smith would handle kick offs only..we'll see.
Big Jake moving freely is huge news, Crowder being out is no surprise, Berger's hand being fine also is good news. Eh, the injury report is so much easier to cover when the dinged players are waived.
Or how I think it was Sapp saying last night , when the name on the injury report for Miami is "none" .
I'm so ****ing excited for this game. I just called local sports station who had a "gambling expert" Greg Roberts on the show talking about games. I asked about Miami. Mentioned we were slow starting the last few yrs but buffalo had a thin lb Crew and oline. He said he takes buffalo straight up this week. I politley disagreed. Interesting. Hope we blow the doors off of barfalo and go into Minnesota game 1-0 ready to roll with momentum.
There's always been a MOE linebacker. Terminology often changes by the coaching staff. Some people call it MOE, others call it <insert name here>. It is the same thing when some coaches have their own type of Cover 4. It's not universal.
It is confusing, originally in the 3-4 the Linebackers were: Moe, Larry, Curly, Schemp, but that got confusing for the players and they just reverted to doing slapstick routines instead.
I hope they keep Bess on punt returns. With his sure hands and blazing speed he's a threat to take it the house very time.
No, that is the Stay Puff Defense with the Marshmellow Man, similar to the elephant in the 4-3, but he has to huge.
The difference in the two is the Mike has more options, when you see a Qb pointing at a ILB and screaming the Qb thinks they have identified the Mike and they are letting the Oline and Rb's know who it is so they can block or play off of him.
One of the interior linemen should handle punt return duties, to further demonstrate their "versatility". Joe Berger, C/LG/RG/KR/PR
Nah Ikaika needs the work and there will be a rotation at the Sam. more Tweets, this time plumbing the depths of Sparano's paranoia: Tony cruising thePhins maybe>?.. Welcome to Sparano World Ikaika, expect to play some DE in the 4-3 looks. W..T..H??? So Whitner "guaranteed" a win did he?
Did he? I missed that somehow. Wonder if it is a straight out benching for Misi or if there's a plan to use the two of them situationally
Makes sense - using Francis as the run down guy and Misi as a pass defender will hopefully combine to give us 3 solid downs of play between them.
I'm glad Whitner said that; literally almost everytime a player "guarantees" something, it doesn't happen.
Next year... MISI/IKE DANSBY/EDDS JOHNSON/DOBBINS WAKE/?? CHROWDER? CARPENTER?? backup for Wake? maybe McCoy... I like our future!!!
Watch, if Ronnie, Ricky, or BMarsh have an opportunity, they are going Truck Whitner.. Guarantee a win?
blazing speed? since when? Bess is slow to middling @ best, but dependable. Clifford Smith handled both punt & kick returns for Tampa & will probably do the same for Miami. His only apparent reason to be here is to return kicks, why waste Bess unnecessarily? hope to see Smith in action against Buffalo. missed the end icon until after the post. obviously, you already agree. after so much confusion in the last ten days, sarcasm evidently goes right over my head. hope they have an offensive line fix by game day.
Nolan has 3 college De's playing OLB and one 2 time CFL DPOY at DE. I can see all manner of alignments being used, from a 5-2 with two guys dropping into coverage a DB blitz coming from the edge to a 2-5-4. Experience they do not have, Athleticism out the ying yang they do have.
