http://twitter.com/TheJetsStream/status/25262095925 Maybe the jets actually think the guy can play as opposed to just pumping him for information...of course, they'd be wrong but that's just par for the course I guess. Maybe they need a tall receiver who drops passes to replace their other tall receiver who drops passes.
How times have changed, back in the day a fmr dolphin going to a division rival would be met with gloom and doom. David Martin, Heath Evans etc
Maybe the Jets need Patrick Turner because Braylon Edwards won’t be a Jet on Sunday. Just throwing that out there...
No doom and gloom..... But...I gotta admit, it makes me a bit nauseous....watch the guy turn into Randy Moss for just one night....
No way that happens against Jason Allen 2.0 and VD. I'd sooner believe Sanchez gets a perfect passer rating with 6 TDs
Pat Turner TheJetsStream Source confirms #Jets waived OL Patrick Brown. As I reported yesterday, #NYJ are going to elevate WR Pat Turner from practice squad #nfl Looks like we might see him SUnday night..
Sounds like Ryan needs someone to hold the chicken fingers and dipping sauce for him on the sidelines. Otherwise I don't see Turner doing anything.
Ryan will probably have Taylor and Turner be captains for the game and scheme to get Turner the ball on their first series and try to get Taylor a sack or two.
The sad part is, this probably isn't too far from the truth. The happy part is, while Ryan and Jets are trying to be cute and do their whole irony/vanity thing, we'll be playing smart, workmanly football and winning the game
Any time a player changes teams, there is some residual "You didn't treat me right" syndrome with that player. Even more so with a guy like JT who meant so much to this team at one time. It's a smart move to get these guys involved in the game plan in order for them to 'show' Sparano and co. that they made a mistake. Additionally, Turner is probably going to be put in the game where they would normally have Edwards, at least early on and possibly later, should Turner show more of what he did during TC with us than if he shows what he did for the year prior to that.... JT is another story. He is a wily veteran and is still capable of having a great day, any given game... Hopefully, it won't come at our expense... Either way, Ryan is banking on some revenge factor with these guys and that is smart football...
