Alright, the Jest are 2-0 in the Division with one game left vs Buffalo before the weekly demolition derby starts against the AFCN and NFCN, we could use a Bills surprise victory this weekend. Feel free to post news that can help in the effort to upset the Jets: So far: -Bills are willing to listen to offers for Marshawn Lynch, this should motivate the underachieving Running Back. -Ryan Fitzpatrick has been installed as the #1 Qb in Buffalo, the team just plays better with Fitzy at Qb. -Bills to add Xavier Fulton, who is a much better prospect than Cornell "Turnstill" Greene at Right Tackle -Bills are getting their best defensive player back, Paul Poz is back in their starting lineup Feel free to add actual news.
Well, Stroud has been nothing but a disappointment since coming to Buffalo and signing a huge contract, his play has never approached his pay. Why the Bills don't dial 1-800-Marques Douglas is beyond me, they are sorta wacky up at 1 Bills Drive.
I like that matchup for the Bills, Coleman is not that great of a Cb, and Fitzy is willing to sling it to Evans.
It's good that Buffalo has a QB in that should have the ability to test the Jets suspect secondary. It's hard to imagine them pulling it off. Those Jests are kind of on a roll. Maybe they'll overlook the Bills.
Rumor mongering, but I have to think the Bills will feature Lynch to up his trade value, when focused Lynch is a beast, when unmotivated do not bother to play him, he will not run hard.
I am gonna go ahead and start a mess...... If I am Ireland... I offer a 4th for Lynch. Ricky might be done guys....
I think talented players are "Sparano guys." Lynch I think, gets some fresh air and becomes the Lynch of old.
They have picked up players of various shady backgrounds Sect, they have never picked up a player legitimately called a "underachiever". I see the Bills re-upped Chris Kelsay to a 4 yr deal...personally I'd have preferred Charlie Anderson. I also think the Bills run much 4-3 this game.
Depends. If you just wanna scare a bunch of kids on Halloween, you go with Lynch. If you wanna make sure your girlfriend wish to never want to ever have sex with anyone ever again, you go with McQuistan.
Buffalo doesn't have much going for them, but they have a pretty good secondary. I would expect the Jets to run a lot this game.
Could you imagine Lynch running behind McQuistan? They would dominate for the simple fact that defenses will be blinded by the ugliness of those two.
From Buffalo Rumblings Well, no surprise they are more productive with Gailey as the Head Coach rather than Jauron. "But" it was also Trent Edwards as the starting Qb, however as was pointed out..most of that damage came in one game, with Ryan Fitzpatrick as the Qb and vs the Pastriots. That is a trend I expect to continue as Fitzy is a much better Qb than Edwards was, he is far more willing to push the ball past the 20 yd red zone box around the line of scrimmage. Must be encouraging to see Roscoe Parrish, the Bills Ted Ginn, not only active but also producing. http://www.buffalorumblings.com/201...ng-better-wr-production-under-gailey#comments
I'm hoping now that Teddy Ginn is gone CJ Spiller can become the new bane of the Jet's Special teams existence. I'm expecting 1 long return TD and a couple past the 50
That helps the Bills not unexpected but still. Jets also released NT Howard Green due to signing Trevor Pryce.
Although I will certainty be rooting for the Bills I simply don't see it happening. There is good reason they are rated as the worst team in the NFL. They are horrible.
Hmm, we'll see. I think things are lining up nicely on offense for the Bills, the Defense is still a real work in progress and I do not see how it will improve.
Well so much for Pace, but the Pats Tully Banta-Cain feasted on poor Bills blocking last yr, Jason Taylor could be in line this year. Joe McKnight looks very much like the Jets version of Lorenzo Booker, without the conditioning... Funny story about Taylor, last yr the first Bills game was Cam Wake's coming out party, he left the game with 3 credited sacks, Taylor with two, but Taylor kept playing late into the game. After the game, Taylor complained and received credit for half a sack on one where he and Wake both were around the QB. If folks think Taylor is not accutely aware of his personal stats out on the field they have another thing coming.
The Jets just beat you in your house, but you are going to make a convincing argument that the Bills are going to beat the Jets? Do you think the Bills have a better offense than Miami? I don't.
Sounds about right, though with Lynch knowing his leaving the Bills is predicated on his performance I think they do better than 3.5 ypa.
Happened last yr didn't it.. Depends, Fitzy is a wildcard, he could be picked off 4 times, or he could throw 3 TD's and run for 5 first downs, it is impossible to tell one way or another with him. Bills D is the real issue, they have their own version of Ghoston in Maybin, and a 3-4 without playmaking linebackers is a disaster waiting to happen, does first yr DefCord Edwards have the freedom to run mostly 4-3 alignments as the base defense? And can the Bills find ways to feed Spiller and Evans? The Bills quitely have assembled some players who are playmakers, but can Gailey find ways to feed them the ball in space where they can make something happen?
That's the same tired argument that most fans continue to use. We beat you and you beat them therefore we will beat them. If that theory held true then we could just cut the season down to 8 games or so and use that logic to figure out the standings. You and I and everyone else knows it doesn't work though. With that said I just dont see how the Bills will win any game this year much less their next.
Well, to me that improves their defense against the run, against the pass that is a different matter, I'd think they would try and matchup Wilson or Whitner on Keller. Davis out also means they are more likely to go 4-3, and it would allow Troupe and Williams to play DT, along with Maybin staying as a DE.
Agreed and then there is the any given Sunday argument. But the bottom line is that the Jets have more talent than Buffalo and they are a much better team. Is would be a major upset if the Bills win. Even Vegas has made the Jets a 5 point road favorite. It's difficult to make a good case for Buffalo. If the Jets play to their ability, they should win handily. *If*
Weather forecast Buffalo: Partly sunny, high of 51, low of 38 possible showers. Hmm, Sanchez and cold temps...hopefully it is rainy and cold...
There is no question in my mind that the Jets should win that game. I was merely pointing out the flaw in your logic. Well in that one post anyway. Also BTW of the two arguments "we beat you you beat them therefor we should beat them too" and "any given Sunday" I would wager that if we did a comparison of the two we would find that the "any given Sunday" argument is every bit as accurate. Especially when the two teams are division rivals.
The Bills are my major upset pick of the week. Division rival at home, coming off an inspired offensive performance, a QB/RB with nothing to lose, always a good recipe. Swirling winds and a better secondary for the Bills than the Fins/Pats could help them give Sanchez a bad game. It is the Bills though, they'll probably miss a FG to lose the game or something.
Funny - and I was thinking the Pats D is finally going to take the news of their demise personally and pitch a shutout while the NE O throws up a 40 burger
NE defense isn't *that* bad. 7 of Buffalo's points came on ST. So 23 points And against Cincy, all those points were garbage time scores. It was 24-3 at the half, for Christ's sake. Yes, they surrendered 28 to the Jets, but the Jets are an offensive powerhouse! They hung a 31 on you guys, right? NE actually did better Seriously, I know NE's defense has looked bad, but it wouldn't shock me if they played much better this week.
