It's not about sticking up for him, it's about presenting facts that PLENTY of posters have in this thread alone. Stitches posted all the stats to back up that Henne has been solid this year. YOU'RE the one who hates on the guy with zero basis.
actually the falcons are the ones that drafted him and they felt like this guy think they might regret that decision
hey the patriots put their 2nd string qb in for the last kneel down of the game. i guess they're thinking about replacing brady too. rtflmao
Florio picked Miami to win the division, this is his way of expunging himself of that pick. Now all we need to do is turn this season around so that Florio's head explodes.
Wow, now people are upset with Henne's yards per attempt? One thing after another, my god... Im starting to wonder if the Madden game has really ruined fans' perceptions of football too. just because you can regularly complete 10-20 yard passes in madden, doesnt make it so in real football.
Henne's record is still above .500! 9-8 as a starter 3906 career yards on 595 attempts 17 tds/18 ints If he is yanked before this season is up i'll be mad.
Last I checked interceptions actually involve the other team retaining possession. No one has said he's perfect or even great, not sure what you're argument is other then to go off in some tangent but if you must ooooooooooookkkkkkkkkaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyy. He is getting better, and I never said he was the answer, just that the original poster greatly exaggerated. In the future you might want to read and understand the argument, maybe take some notes before you try to be an ******* with me. Again I never said he was the answer just that the original poster over exaggerated. FEEL FREE IN THE FUTURE TO PM ME IF YOU CAN'T UNDERSTAND 1 SENTENCE POSTS THAT I MAKE.
Silly thread. That debacle had very little to do with Henne and everything to do with that gong show we call a special teams unit.
I've posted since training camp, game four would be the crucible in the very difficult 2010 schedule & it has proven to be exactly exactly that... the crucible things have to change immediately, beginning with the QB in game five or the season is lost & another Miami opportunity squandered on wishful thinking & bad judgement start Pennington @ QB for game five has someone asked Bill Parcells what he thinks? yes, I believe he was quoted, something to the effect 'Henne was a disappointment' or did I get it wrong? maybe it was really a veiled motivational statement, not an honest opinion. after all, Ross said he was the Second-Coming of Marino. what to do? who to believe?
No, not beginning with the QB. After last night, it`s painfully obvious the special teams is what is hurting the Dolphins. Last night might have been the single worst special teams performance in the history of football. Seriously.
With noodle arm at QB we will have no deep threat, just like last year. I love Chad Pennington but Henne has not given the coaches any reason to give up on him.
has someone asked Bill Parcells what he thinks? yes, I believe he was quoted, something to the effect 'Henne was a disappointment' or did I get it wrong? maybe it was really a veiled motivational statement, not an honest opinion. after all, Ross said he was the Second-Coming of Marino. what to do? who to believe? Pennington is a proven commodity, a franchise quality QB who has led us to the AFCE championship. he is healthy & ready to play. it only makes sense to start him in game five. want to win games or create a cult? fix special teams & start Pennington immediately or write the season off
And then what? Go on to make it to playoffs and get bounced out in the first round again? Do you think Pennington will take us to the SB, and win it? If you don't think that, then Pennington can do nothing but hurt this team coming in now. Because it means we need a new QB, and we're going to have to give up our entire draft to get one, if he takes us anywhere except the Superbowl.
Friend SeanP: cult or win games, your choice got to get to the play-offs to get to the SuperBowl somewhere along the line luck enters into a stretch that reaches that far into the NFL season however we should play the man that gives us the best chance of winning games always play to win
Im curious as to how you are so sure that Pennington gives us the best chance to win games? How does he give us the best chance to win games in the future beyond this season as well?
Don't fall into the trap Lucky. Don't do it. I did last week, and while funny, it still makes me feel........dirty.
Everyone seems to forget the kind of year Pennington was having through four games last year when they say that he has the best shot at winning us games. Henne is doing just fine, and if he's benched for the next game, then our entire coaching staff needs to be shown the door.
how quickly we forget feeleyculpepperharringtonfrerrottelemonrosenfelslucas... (im not putting fiedler in there tho. He never won the games himself, but he never lost them either) Henne is our guy. Nuff said
I don't know, a thanksgiving game against the Cowboys I'd be hard pressed not to attribute that win to Fiedler. He was on the money that day. As far as never losing them, I can recall plenty of pick 6's he threw that ended our chances of winning some games. Pretty much any time he threw a deep out, he'd lose us the game.
man thats a cools *** helmet with the dark visor - kinda reminds of colt brennans hawaii helmet - mabey we should put brennan in a dolphins dark visor helmet
You're absolutely delusional! Penny a franchise QB? He was cut by his franchise. He led us to the playoffs by beating a collective of the worst defenses the NFL has seen over the past 3 years. What part of this do you not understand? He couldn't do crap against playoff caliber teams. He was 0-3 last season when he was healthy. What part of 0-3 do you not understand? He is our 2nd string QB for a reason. If he had more potential or were a better option, then he would already be starting. News flash: Penny is NOT the savior of this team nor will he be. He's a mentor and a backup. Please acknowledge it. The team, staff, and Penny already have.
Don't get me wrong, I think Pennington is a great Quarterback... but he couldn't take us past the first game of the playoffs last year. Unless you think he's going to win us a superbowl this year, we're better off letting Henne make or break, for the long term success of this franchise.
