http://www.myfoxdetroit.com/dpp/news/the_edge/dying-girl-taunted-by-neighbors-in-trenton I have this sudden urge to drive to Michigan with a baseball bat and it's not to play ball, anyone want to join me?
And then the "apology" was the most bull**** thing I've ever seen. "I'm sorry if this caused pain. Hopefully we can go back to living peacefully now." So the apology was just so they could go back to living peacefully before the media brought to light their epic fail as humans? Ridiculous.
There is good to come of this http://www.myfoxdetroit.com/dpp/news/local/toy-store-shopping-spree-for-kathleen-edward
no little kid deserves to be treated like that. hopefully whatever days she has left can be filled with joy.
I figured there would be some sick bastards who would come to this thrash's defense, I never in a million years thought I would find it here.
Agree COMPLETELY. absolutely sickened me when I read the story. I thought to myself how could anyone be so god damn heartless. But seeing all these people come to her aid is awesome.
I wonder what they will think when a caravan of people in Dolphins jerseys show up at their house and trash the place.
Man, in that first video...does that lowlife, rode hard-hung up wet twat have a face you just want to cave in with a tire iron or what? I hope she's sodomized by a herd of rhinos.
This was the follow-up apparently... Easy to say let's live our lives peacefully when the 7 year old you were taunting is dying.
What a sad story. Huntingtons is a terrible disease. And it's one of those rare diseases so not a lot is being done about it. Entire families are usually decimated by it since it's hereditary. I've never heard of it taking someone so young though.
Which brings me to ask....did they not think or realize that no one would side with them on what they were doing? Did they think they were correct in their actions? They gained nothing by it. I don't see the point of why they'd even attempt to do what they did on Facebook. Was it to get their friends to laugh? Or what's the point in talking **** about someone (or kid) if no one else knows who the kid is?
Had to thank your post. They are about to start a mob in this forum to come hunt you down over a comment of free speech. WoW
Caught? They openly reveled in it to media. They are only backtracking because they are getting their own medicine right back at them.
It just amazes me when you have ten year old kids hanging themselves because of bullying that people actually come out and defend this behavior behind "freedom of speech". My guess is that these people were either one time bullies or are still bullies now and that's why they can't see the problems behind this type of behavior.
There's another video on that page interviewing the dad and grandmother, and it confirms (two separate incidents) that the apology was bull****. Hopefully one or both of them are sterile. The husband was also suspended from his job. Apparently there are other people -- they can't say whom but they suspect someone(s) -- who are posting similar things at them on Facebook.
I wasnt trying to be a jerk... I'm just saying... when that one church was making a celebration about burning a Quran it was all about free speech so i just wanted to mention it
What does burning a book got to do with taunting a dying seven year old girl that she is going to die through bullying?
I didn't think you were that kind of person. I just though it would make a good point . PS - Not to get into a religious argument but...you know how churches can be.
Not to get into a huge debate here because everyone has their opinion and I don't think the Mor had bad intentions, but there's a HUGE difference between freedom of speech and photoshopping a dying child's picture in death symbols and posting them on a social networking site for all to see. If you want to say it's freedom of speech, fine, but I don't think you'd be singing the same tune of that was your child.
Would love to see your reaction if that was your dying daughter and that piece of **** went on the news saying she was doing what she did to "burn your ***".
. Free speech only works when it fits an agenda. You have a solid point that shines a light on that hypocrisy. Well done. That being said, I'd beat the **** out of the people who did this to my daughter so bad terminal cancer would feel like a massage by comparison. Edit: Should also add the two instances are slightly different in that this is against the law as it can be deemed a threat.
I think you guys are punishing Mor for someone else's sins. Mor never said or did anything to this girl, nor did he even say he endorsed or condoned their actions. He simply is shining a light on the fact that as Americans, people have a right to express themselves in just about every way affordable to them, no matter how low, how disgusting or, to the other end, how important and insightful it may be. This is what a "free society," gets you. The part the makes me scratch my head is that he brought it up without anyone else saying that this right should be taken from the person in question. I don't think it says anything negative about Mor or Skeet and their character. That aside, Huntington's disease is awful and to see it take someone THAT young is not only rare, but doubley sad. Doing stuff like this because they supposedly did not RSVP to your liking is unfathomable and they deserve every bit of public scorn they get. A true apology would be for them to donate not only money but their TIME to helping research and fight this disease. Let them have a true understanding of what is going on and educate them. I promise you it would make them shut the **** up about a situation like this in the future and possibly have some compassion.
And free speech goes both ways. Others are also free to criticize those exercising that right. I could be wrong, but I didn't see anybody say they should be stripped of their free speech rights. I just saw people exercising their right to comment on what was said.
Why has free speech even been mentioned in this thread? Nobody in this thread said they should be punished by law for what they did. At least I don't think. I've only seen discussion on the moral aspects of it all, and in that context there is no defense whatsoever for these people.
