If you mean around here, you won't see many comments. We won. Nobody will come on to complain till later I thought it was a great effort by the team today to hang in there again all game, never quit, and pull out another road win, in a tough place to play!
Dan Henning is ugly and old and stupid and I wish the Dolphins lost so I had more opportunity to *****
Well, here is the thing, it is much easier to scream about the car heading for the edge of the cliff than it is to say "good job", and tbh quality posters typically wait a day or so to post a thread or it will be lost in a sea of threads, pushed back to pg #2 by 8pm this evening. Not complaining about that, but if you spend 20 minutes writing a opening post, it sucks to see it on page 2 that fast.
A little too close to home for comfort? I thought about Google Image Searching for a little kid throwing a tantrum but then I'd feel like no one would have any illusions about who I was referring to.
I'm glad as hell we won, but I am pissed off about bad calls by the refs and some inconsistent play by our defensive backs. We came off with the W, and I know a couple other teams today that lost due to bad ref calls would love to be in that position. It was a game where we had several players that shined: Misi, Wake, Crowder, Marshall, Hartline... But we also had some players make some bad mistakes. I am glad the team was able to overcome those mistakes and win, but we should have dominated the game and would have without the bonehead mistakes and bad ref calls.
I can't wait until this team puts together a mistake free game. Err... well there's always going to be mistakes, but no major mistakes. The game when we finally go out, execute, don't shoot ourselves in the foot with a boneheaded penalty, or fumble, or INT, or ST blunder. Just the perfect game when we execute like we know this team can and we just blow someone out. We have the ability to do it, its just getting over the little things. When it happens, look out IMO.
Don't get it twisted. We're ALL glad we won. But there were problems and issues, as normally there will be. And there's generally more to discuss regarding problems and/or solutions rather than things which are already solved. If you want to talk about things that went well, by all means post something! There's plenty to talk about there. Hey, you can't complain if you're not going to help.
Sums it up pretty well. Go back and look at when we've blown teams out (Buffalo last year, Patriots in '08). Pretty much all exuberant, joyous threads. Hell, even the Jets game last year Monday night and the division winner vs Jets '08. The fact is, we rarely blow anyone out. We either win close or lose. And we've lost almost all of our 'big' games (national TV, playoffs, etc.) the past few years. So there will generally be problems to analyze. Just the way it is right now. As the team gets better, I think the post game threads will reflect that.
More consistency issues. We've got Pittsburgh next weekend. This performance will not be good enough to get away from them with a W. It will take a very good and complete game IMO. I'm not sure whether they should go conservative and try to protect Henne a little or just let him cut loose and take his lumps. At this point in time Pennington is the best QB on our roster so if they're going to keep Henne in they might as well turn him loose I guess for better or for worse.
Great Win for the Phins. I gotta tell you, I've stayed away for the last week and a half cause I didn't want to read all the negativity. So it's good to get a win today. Were there mistakes today? Yep. But there were some great individual efforts out there today, Wake's 3 sacks, Marshall's 10 catches, Misi had a solid game, Crowder played well in his first game back. Still some mistakes in the secondary, but Allen and Davis had solid games. Smith still needs to quit giving so much space off the line and Sapp was ehh. Still a great win in a tough stadium! Awllright Miami!!!
I think its a mistake to generalize this forum like that, don't think it's a fair assessment...I think our main board is pretty damn good..
we dont get recognition... i dont care as long as we stll tear it up. is there a thread for fasano's almost lambeau leap??
