Alan Faneca is a fantasy, especially if you have us signing both him and Trufant. We can take only one or the other: pick. Actually, nevermind, since Faneca is practically already an Arizona Cardinal. Also, Hadnot is a free agent after this season. How do you propose signing all three at the same time, not to mention Justin Smith? Marty Schottenheimer will not take the job from which one of his most-respected assistant coaches was just fired from. There is such a thing as class: Schottenheimer possesses it. (Contrast this with Bobby Petrino.) Also, the general presumption that Cameron will be fired is just that--a presumption. Word is that Trent Green will retire and become the offensive coordinator next year, and that Cleo Lemon will likely accept a new contract from the team. I'd rather have Fred Davis than Martin Rucker.
No one said anything about Cleo starting in 2008, just that it's likely he'll re-sign with the team. From what I've seen, Davis would be better for us than Rucker.
i gota admit that dline looks great but lets hope we get justin smith and zach said he'll be back next year
NO zach said he wants to come back , not will be back. just reme, ber it might not be his decision to make. i think by the time everything is said and done we will be retired.
I dont see Marty here next year, but I would like us to sign someone like Trufant, and maybe Crayton too.
If this happens wayne is a freaking moron.. Trent Green better not be our Offensive Coordinator. He was a decent not Hall of Fame QB and now hes going to run a NFL franchise offense with ZERO experience.. Schot will not take the job I believe unless Cam is moved to Offensive Coordinator on his own.. There would be bad blood should Schot replace CAM or be forced to move and let someone become head coach.. I say we start robbing the PATS players and coaches ASAP... They have taken plenty from us over the last 3/4 years
one free agent will improve our team dramatically. albert hainsworth from tennesee. we must sign him.
HOW is it a dreaM? cuz they are 2 top players or at leas top at one point? plz bro. tired ofppl saying it simpossible to get guys. u think NE had a chance at wlker, stallworth, moss, morris, washington, etc etc etc? u prob would say never a chance n if it happeend thats the day cows will be flying.
Money-wise it is impossible. Certain things just can't happen because of boundaries and restrictions, like spelling and sentence structure...
1st things first, replace Cam. I do not trust the decision makers picking our guys. I cringed at the thought of Green, and I was sad to see so much money spent on Porter. Ginn? The jurys still out. I am happy with Satele though, although not for Welker.
Wow. I don't even know where to begin. 1: Trent Green has run Cameron's offense his entire NFL career. He's about as good a playcaller for the system not named Cam Cameron that we'll be able to find. 2: While having Trent's first coaching job be that of OC is indeed slightly worrying, Cameron has shown foresight in that Trent has been given a coaching crash course since his concussion. He's been practically the assistant QB coach for two months, and we now know that he's been relaying playcalls. This is called job training. 3: The position of Offensive Coordinator does not entail running an NFL franchise, as you put it. 4: Name someone better. Former New England players and coaches become legends when they move on--legendarily bad, that is. Charlie Weis. Romeo Crennel. Eric Mangini. Deion Branch. David Patten. David Givens. Reche Caldwell. Drew Bledsoe. No thanks. The Patriots are a good team because their head coach found a franchise QB. In the sixth round. Would that we had that kind of luck.
I can barely even understand this. I guess what you're saying is that because New England can attract talent, we should be able to attract talent as well. There are so many things wrong with that theory I'm not even going to bother to argue against it. But I'll give you a hint: look at the contracts and salaries of the players you've cited.
Um, what happened to yeremiah bell, he played a great season last year and probably would have had another great one if it wasnt for him getting hurt in week one.
Without getting into specifics, I like your assesment. With the only problem being Trent Green at QB. No way Trent steps on the field again. We must sign or draft another QB. I'm not necessarily saying we should draft a QB with our first pick or sign a top tier QB through FA, but we need to sign or draft someone to secure the QB position.
Why do people keep repeating Justin Smith's name like he's a good defensive end? The guy has 2 sacks this season so far.
in stead of Travis Daniels being a Strong Safty i say we also sign Ken Hamlin as our SS and Travis Daniels is our 3 CB
Wasn't Keith Byars a FB? Could be wrong, didn't see much Miami football back then, but I thought he was. The only Keith I remember distinctly at TE, is Keith Jackson.
We're paying off all teams to not show interest in Johnson, Smith, Trufant, and Faneca. As far as Talib goes, rumor has it that Wayne has sent all teams a fruitbasket in hopes of letting him fall to us at 55 (Which isn't even our official draft spot yet).
