So, correct me if I'm wrong, but even if there was no video evidence of who recovered the fumble, since the offensive team fumbled the ball into the end zone, shouldn't it have been a touchback no matter what?
robbed. Every season we get burned by a horrible horrible game changing call. Saints game all over agian.
We got robbed... Henning needs to go, that should be clear to everyone but we won this game. I don't know how it's not definitive evidence when 2 Dolphins fall on the ball in the endzone and one comes up holding it however if Henning had any balls we wouldn't have been in that position in the first place. All I can say after a very disappointing loss is without a shadow of a doubt Henning has got to go...
F****ing robbed. Nuff said. F Pitt and the Ref. Easy Fn call just go to show if its Pitt, Dal, GB, Pats or the Giants they will always get the benefit of the call. Im F'n out.
the only thing the PHINS will get is a letter in the mail from the NFL saying how the refs made an error ..... like that helps ...
the saddest part of this call was that if the line ref called it a fumble originally (not the review) as it should have been, we would have gotten the fumble in our favor.
I don't see how Defense allowing a million huge passes on 3rd down can cost Henning his job.... But I agree we were robbed on the fumble.
We didn't get robbed. We had 2 turnovers to get us in scoring position and we come out with 6 points. We didn't execute. Like I said in the chat, we're never going to get that call. We're not popular enough. Until we're winners we won't get those breaks. We won't get to be winners by getting 7 yards and going 0/4 on two drives in the red zone. That's on the team.
no. im usually level headed and say "we should have played better" but not this time. **** this ******* BS ******* garbage ******** league. Are you ******** kidding me. ****!
Why does Putzburg get the calls every single weekend? EVERY WEEKEND!!! I dont think they have ever ever had a call go against them. Ever. That wasnt close to being a Touchdown, EXACTLY like when Rapelisburger scored in the SB against Seattle.
Ill give the benefit of the doubt to the line ref because Clemons body was actually covering his view of the ball but once again that review really screwed us yet again.
Team can't do **** when Hennings calling running plays to Ronnie Brown in the redzone when he's averaging what a 1/2 yard per carry? The only way we were moving the ball was through the air, I am not sure how anyone can fail to see how idiotic this was...
The Steelers are an NFL media darling. Much like the Pats and the NY teams. The officials could have called that a fumble on the field, established possession, and then reviewed for the touchdown. Screw them, they knew good and damn well they were guaranteeing points for Pitt. We beat Pittsburgh in my mind.
They should have ruled it a fumble on the field so that they only had to review the TD. That would have been the correct play. They are either incompetent or wanted to do everything possible to aid a Steelers victory.
A Dolphin player came out of the pile with the ball. Easiest call to make and it was blown. I hate the NFL.
That argument works when you're playing a team you should beat. If this was the Bills, the Lions, or any other bottom 15 team, I wholeheartedly agree. But when you're playing a team that is arguably the best in the NFL, and are going blow to blow with them, a single f'd up call determines the game. Normally I echo that statement, but today it's just not the case. We played against the best defense in the league, and were neck and neck with them the entire game. This game was decided by one bad call.
Why are you pissed on the last drive of the game from Pitt? If we used the right plays and didn't settle for FGs we would have never been put into that position. Enough Said
It was obvious, to me anyway, the refs were trying to give the Steelers that TD. First of all, the linesman blew a call he was right on top of. He should have recognized the fould in the first place. Secondly, they're taught to not blow the whistle early; meanwhile, the ref was running out of the pile announcing a TD before the play was resolved. Then there's the whole thing about if the offense fumbles the ball into the end zone it goes over to the defense. But lets ignore the fact it was a blown call, the refs didn't let the play run it's course, and ignored video evidence of the Dolphins having control of the fumble...out of all of that, THE BALL WAS IN THE GOD DAMN END ZONE! How you can award to ANYONE on the half yard line is BULL****!. They just pulled that out of their ***. F-U-C-K-E-D
Yet we scored more points than any team has scored against the Steelers all season. I NEVER blame the Refs....I will now. The Refs, not Henne, not Henning, not Sparano, not the Steelers....THE PHUCKING REFS lost this game for us!
If the refs make the right calls we win. Refs are not suppose to impact the game for either team... but they did today on a fairly easy call.
so ****in pissed. what highway robberry. refs shoukld have detewrmined possession in the pileup before going to review
The lead ref made it a point to trot his **** *** out on the field and explain that it was a fumble while the players were fighting for the ball. The Dolphins recovered the ball but the refs didn't even pull the players from the pile because they assumed it was a touchdown. That's bull****.
agreed we got screwed. ****ing refs should quit....they lost any respect they earned. **** them. we got screwed out've 4-2 and a win against one of the best teams in the league. regardless, no running game....henne played awesome!!!!
Honestly i'm about ready to just quit watching football all togethor this **** is getting ridiculous...
Against a good team, we did the best we could to that point, and we got screwed at the end. If we were playing the Browns, fine, I get that, but not today!! The Refs robbed us, plain and simple!!! There should be no argument.
I just think it's funny the review shows Alama-Francis jumping on the ball first and then review shows Alama-Francis standing up with the ball. ........but of course the review was inconclusive about who recovered the football.
