Hi, im 14 from Chesterfield in England. I started following football (sorry if i ever call it american football but as you know the english have our own football) in the middle of last season, but at first i didnt understand the game. I didnt fully understand the game until the super bowl. This is my 1st full season as a fins fan and i know most of the players now. I chose miami because i knew the city was awesome! Ive watched almost every game so far this season, but i wont be coming to america for at least 4 years I have a chad henne premier jersey and football is now my favourite sport, i enjoy it more than soccer, i only enjoy soccer when one of my favourite teams is playing, but nfl is much different. Sorry for long story, i like to explain things, go Phins!!!!!
Welcome aboard, and we also have a Soccer...err...Football thread with some real passionate members down in the Other Sports Forum. Currently there is mourning for Liverpool FC..
I hate liverpool (team- not the city - my mums from there) Im trying to get into the habit of calling 'american football' - football - so that i dont sound like **** when i live in america
Context means something, if one says "football" in a NFL thread 99.99% of people will translate it, besides, Premier League Football is largely in the other sport forum. We are blessed with some real experts who tweet things about premier league football, which also tends to keep posts down that may cause confusion.
Welcome to our family and don't feel bad about not understanding American football, most fans over here don't understand it either.
In England only reason my friends can find for hating the sport is because its stole english footballs name, and that its rugby for ******* my first response is, so can i get you to stand there, and ill get a linebacker to come take you down, i bet you end up in hospital.
That's cool, just stay away from the Jets cheerleaders, they have stuff that doctors can't cure. Being your 14, I won't go into details, but I think you understand.
yes i do I didnt go to game in london, its 4 hours away and im only person who likes the nfl (despite my dad playing for an english gridiron team in the 80s)
Welcome aboard mate you've chosen a great side to follow. I've been hearing the same stuff about rugby vs football for 25 years now and people hate what they don't understand. Just got myself a Henne jersey too this weekend. Any questions just ask. A lot of knowledgeable guys (and girls) here and a great site. Head over to the Arsenal...sorry, soccer thread if you want chat football at all
I probably know more about the nfl than rugby, i love it that much, ill be going to miami all the time when im older, after choosing the fins, i started supporting the marlins and the heat (before lebron arrived) And in the past few weeks ive chosen to support the hurricanes.
on the nfluk forum, everyones been saying that he should be given til the end of the season, i think not
Howdy. As a foreigner myself, I can relate to you as a newcomer to American Football. I've started watching 'Fins around your age, maybe few years younger. I hope you are a patient person, and don't mind having your hopes brought up now and then...just to see them get stomped on....Just Kidding!..sort of. Regadless, welcome to the board. NFL has many tidious rules, and you will be learning them throughout this, and next few seasons. Go Dolphins!
Mattio my man! Welcome aboard mate. Another NFLUK man joining the flock. Great site here mate with alot of decent chaps. Enjoy it.
This forum looks better than nfluk forum, spending more time on here, and posting more than i do on nfluk
Hey, welcom to board. It's to nice have someone my age around here. Have fun, this place is really awsome.
Welcome aboard brother! I must say that you have impeccable taste in picking a team to follow! This team is on the rise so it should be an exciting one to watch in coming years. Don't falter though! Once you're a Phin fan you're in for life. Don't make us fly over there!
im a phin for life, but one of my mates started as a phins fan but switched to the rams for some reason
im half irish, and act more irish than english, so if i dont understand things its my irish side showing
