Beating the Bengals was a big win. Yeah, they're not a VG team but, we could have very easily has a Pitt hangover and lost. To our credit, we did not, although it was far from a work of art. Now, we got two really tuff games. The Ravens have killed us the last few times we played. Hovever, this is NOT the same team. Then, come the Titans, who are another VG team. We get them at home, normally an advantage. I see this one as our first home win. I'm happy with a split but do believe that this team is starting to come together. I will be SHOCKED if we lose both. I will not be surprised if we win both.
I think we match up well against the Titans. I agree we should get our first home win. Ravens though if we can get pass rush on flacco he will be picko. I like Smith to pick another one. With that said another road win and momentum against a very beatable titans squad, = Dolphins @ 6-3
I wanna go toe to toe with Baltimore, I can live with the result as long as we do.. Tennesee...must win...
We need to play our best overall game of this season to beat the Ravens. I would like to be playing this game later but, we play the cards dealt. Even if we beat the Ravens, the Titans are a must win. We really need to establish a home presence.
We just need to fine the endzone. We have been playing good football. The special teams have improved but we still can't dial up the plays to get in the endzone. We will need those plays this weekend. I keep thinking to myself that Henning is holding on to some cards to unleash in a key game like this like he did back in 2008 against the Patriots.
I look forward to seeing where our team is at in it's development against the ravens, I know were good enough to beat the titan's at home.
funny but i'm more scard about tennessee then baltimore. i think we match up better. the baltimore defense isnt the defense of old and ray rice is having a good year not great. i think we can contain boldin. tennessee on the other hand is a slugfest where i am as much worried about injuries as the final score. they are a mirror image of us. that will be a war
I somewhat agree with that except that if I had to bet money, I would bet us in the titan game at home.
A number of players are gonna have to step up this Sunday for a win. I see much improvement in players playing, and not thinking. We are not there yet but, we are close.
Dont want to jinx it but there's no way we dont make the playoffs if we go 6-3. Thing is, that is a pretty huge mountain considering the competition. However if done, with the schedule easing up a bit, we'll make the playoffs.
I think Smith is going to be a big key in this game. I believe he is finally ready to start making some plays.
If we are 6-3 after tennessee we could very well win the afc east . We have the advantage of a way easier schedule than NE or the Jets beyond week 10. Even if we lose in NE and NJ we should at the least finish 11-5 and get a wild card. I dont see us losing in NJ though. Main thing in the next 2 weeks is if we win we have advantage of head to head with the wild card potentials in the North and South. We then have a shot at beating the West wild card fav in Oakland. I like our playoff chances.
I dont think anyone is looking forward to playing us right now. I'm glad we'll be playing Tenn at home rather than in Tenn..... and Young will have a tougher time w/o Kenny Britt. That should allow us to key in on CJ a little more. We kept him pretty well contained last year (longest run was 14 yards); we'll do it again this year. I think the key will be to shut his receiving yards down. Balt doesn't have a ton of speed at the receiver position (and are having about as much trouble getting chunk yardage from them as we are) so hopefully Vontae, Smith, and Allen will match up well against them. Hopefully we can shut down the ground game early and let Wake tee off. We did a good job of making Polamalu seem insignificant, so maybe we can do the same with Reed.
Crowder has been a huge addition vs the run. Think what you will of him but, we are a much better team with him. I am hoping that Davis matches up with Boldin. Both are extremely physical. That match up is worth the price of admission. I believe Smith is finally ready t mostly shut down the other side. We shall see.
As much as I also hope we score a bunch more points, I really hope we haven't been holding onto cards. If we have it would have been much smarter to unleash them in one of the two divisional losses
As a Ravens fans, it feels weird to say that we have more than one receiver for the Defense to try and contain but a las this year we do. If the Dolphins try and key in on Boldin, they still have Mason (who had a 100 yd game last week), Housh, Heap (multiple touchdowns against the Pats and Bills) and now having Stallworth back it adds the speed element. Not to mention if your not careful you still have Rice and McGahee to worry about.
Yep. I think the Ravens are going to be a really interesting team to watch develop over the next couple of seasons. I'm so used to them being a ground and pound type of team. But I think as Flacco matures their attitude on offense will continue to change and we will see a powerful offense emerge. Will the defense manage to keep up though? That's the biggest question to me
Thats the question that all of Baltimore wants to know too, hopefully Ozzie answers that sooner rather than later though.
The Ravens and the Titans are both coming off a bye. We are going to learn a lot about the 2010 Dolphins over the next two weeks.
How about Ravens, Titans and Bears within a span of 11 days! Yep, the dolphins have 3 tough games in 11 games starting from Sunday. With a Thursday night game against the Bears they will need to prepare a bit for that game before the Titans game.
