http://blogs.sun-sentinel.com/sport...sweblog+(Miami+Dolphins+|+Sun-Sentinel+Blogs) You can only go so far with an investment before you have to cut your losses .Allen was given many opportunities and he was kept around because of his ST abilities. Even those have been disappointing this year. Quentin Moses is another guy who has survived many years on potential yet he never quite makes the grade.I wonder why he doesnt get released .
Prior to this season. Allen was a good special teams player. As a first round draft pick. Much more was expected from him. Once he was benched this season. He never showed up on any special team plays and I guess it was just time for him to go.
But now look at how thin we are at Cb. Losing Will Allen was one thing, and now this. I know a lot of people didn't care for him but he was playing much better than in years past and IMO is a better option in the slot than Benny Sapp.
this regime has lost their minds!!! Cut that worthless piece Benny Sapp......not the team leader in INT's I know Allen has given up a few plays, but I think his play overall has been decent at worst.......Sapp gives up a catch every time they throw towards him. I just don't get it....
I've been pretty quiet on the JA thru the times. Truth be told, I was always cringing watching games when balls were thrown his way. I wish him the best of luck, but not really sad or bummed to see him on his way.
Yeah right. Sapp had his bad game against Hines Ward... And that's because Ward was being motioned into the slot. You're talking about one of the most physical receivers in the game going up against a nickel cornerback. Jason Allen is garbage as a boundary corner. He's simply a special teams player at this point.
I"m telling you someone needs to check the entire staff for BiPolar disorder. These guys are all over the place. This cut was as ridiculous as the QB move. Look I"ve never been a fan of Allen at all but this year he's been holding his own. Its been the most productive season of his career and it's not like were swimming in secondary talent. To top it all off we replace him by bringing in an old guy with a shredded knee? I've lost a great degree of faith in this mgmt. team.
Heads are rolling and that is a good sign. I could quite literally start a gag reel of Jason Allen falling down and missing tackles this year. This is a great move! I have always thought that he was sub-par and now he's someone elses problem. SSSSEEEEEEYYYYAAAAAA........
Going by that, should Sparano not freeze himself and Henning out? Since they are not performing either.
Just a moronic, stupid move. JA isn't a great player, but he's better than what we're replacing him with. Have these spit-dribblers never heard of DEPTH?
