Nah **** that. I cried when I was a kid endlessly for this team. I'm not giving them a second of my Sunday.
No need to serve crow. Henne is like Jekyll and hyde and with an offensive coordinator who relentlessly tries to fool his opponent with what one should not do in certain times of the game, is so bad, he fools himself, it's got to be hard on a Qb that obviously needs a ton of work.
It seems that for every good break the Jets have got this year, you guys have got the complete opposite. There is no way the Browns win that game if it goes to OT. I watched the whole game, and outside of one drive, The Browns did nothing with the ball. Delhomme is garbage. Your D played awesome. And as bad as Henne looked at times, he was going to get them into FG range in OT. Some seasons just go that way....only breaks you seem to catch are crappy ones. You are way better than the Browns.
perfectly said, dunno if henne is the answer or not.....but good god, he has NO HELP from his out of touch OC
Probably. But instead we opted, with 1:40 or so left in the 4th, and one timeout to run the ball on first down, get nothing, then proceed to attempt to pass the ball to move downfield with 1:24 or so left in the game to try and win it, even though we struggled to move the ball all game. The smart thing for us, after calling the first run would have been to just keep runnning, and run the damn clock out and go to OT. Especially with how well our D was playing.
Bull Fking s**t...Henne was pure garbage today. Take the homer glasses off. You should be saying, "Hit the open WR...". Henne is GONE 2011.
I agree that Henne was bad today, but I disagree with him being gone. He'll be on the roster, maybe not a starter, but on the roster. Look for Henning and Sparano to be gone though probably.
Bro, you need to put some good ol reading glasses on instead of telling me I'm wearing homer ones. Never once did I defend Henne's play today. Today we saw Mr. Hyde but what is consistant, is our offensive coordinator SUCKS almost every single game. This team has won games despite him, not because of him. You want a new Qb that's fine with me but the first person that should be fired on this team is DAN HENNING!!
I want to see what Henne can do with an inventive/creative young OC and new HC...Henning is garbage and I'm officially done with Sparano...
I don't look at it as bad breaks. I look at it as the team isn't good enough. Again. Lack of talent across the board. Are the Browns better? Today yeah. Overall? I don't think so. They don't have anyone on their team worth a damn outside of Hillis and Cribbs. Again though it just means the Dolphins aren't good enough.
I thought the last INT that led to the winning FG was a bad break. If that doesn't happen, Miami almost assuredly wins the game.
I would be interested to see if that helps him. Maybe I'm biased b/c I like him so much as a broadcaster but I wouldn't be upset to see Gruden come in.
neither would I honestly, I think his style of coaching, passion, and football knowledge would have a positive impact.
There is no way we can trade up (regardless of who is in the front office come draft time) and pass the desperate teams that are salivating at the thought of drafting Luck in the top 3 spots, especially after they have seen what Bradford has done this year stepping into the starter role as a rook...Panthers, Bills, etc. will not let that happen.
I agree with the fact that Henne is not the answer, but unless this FO is willing to trade the entire draft for Luck I don't see us having a viable alternative to Henne next year. He'll be on the last year of his rookie deal anyway, so he'll be gone after that - ideally we'd be able to draft Luck and let him start out as Henne's backup, but if we lived in an ideal world we wouldn't have had this complete horse**** at QB for the last decade or so. Oh well, the season was fun while it lasted.
I would not mind seeing what he could do if the team forced him to see an eye doctor and make him wear whatever perscription helps him see 3-4 defenders surrounding his targets....
I agree with the fact that Henning is not the answer.Oh sorry, did someone blame Henne again. Jeez boys,it's always a great thing when you see the QB on the field and can point a finger at him and say it's his fault. For every bad Henne throw I counted twice as many bad calls by Henning. Who the hell was he trying to fool?
He tries too hard sometimes to make things happen, forcing it...this is a problem, but it is a problem related to our anemic offense in general.
