NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell will stroll to the podium at Radio City Music Hall on Saturday for what could be the last time. Meeting with a group of newspaper sports editors, Goodell confirmed today that the NFL is considering moving the draft out of New York and giving other cities a chance to host the event. The league’s contract with Radio City Music Hall is in its last year. http://www.profootballtalk.com/2008/04/24/draft-leaving-new-york/
I think thats a good Idea. With how popular the draft has become, I think it would be just as successful it was to keep moving from city to city every year.
Nah, leave it in New York. Laughing at Jets fans for booing every one of their selections is a time-honored tradition.
Please move it to the Orlando Convention Center. It is one of the biggest convention centers in the World and would be a fine home for the draft. Not to mention it would only be about a 20 minute drive from my house (counting rush hour traffic).
Thats the great thing about Jet fans, they're like roaches (you can find them everywhere). If the draft were moved to say Florida, there would still be plenty of sad gangrene there to boo their horrible pick.
Move it to LA, we don't have an NFL team so it'd be neutral ground for everyone. All the good things New York has and less Jets fans. Sounds like a winner to me.
The NFL better check that Al Davis didn't have a draft in his office before they did this.. any chance to sue....
Move it around, but please don't let the Packers host it, that would be a farce. How about putting it only in cities that host the SB? Just a thought....
