    A) NE

    B) NYJ

    C) Don't care and hope the winner loses in the SB

Rex Ryan would be unbearable if he actually won a Super Bowl so I guess the Patriots. It's disgusting to even think about right now.

I have agree, it would have to be the Pats. I can not make myself pull for the Jets, well not in a positive way

Easily the Pats. All my family is Pats fans except for me so I'll be nice and cheer for them. Though If Brady wins another SB I really don't think anyone can argue that he's the best QB of all time. Also IF they win another superbowl it'll just make us look better when we beat them...... sometime down the road.

plus my hatred for the Jets is 10x mine of the pats

Other than the fact I would love to see Jason Taylor go out a winner. I could never root for the Jets. It is not the players, the coach ,or the Jets organization that turns me off. It is the abrasive fans of the Jets I can not stand. So if it comes down to the Jets vs Patriots for the AFC title. I would have no other choice but to pull for the Patriots to win and Taylor has a good game. I just hope that soon. It will be the Dolphins playing in the AFC title game and I won't have to even think about who I will be pulling for.

If one has to win.....the Pats. Use to just hate the Pats more than anything, but the Jest and their fan base have taken their spot at the top over the past 2-3 years! They finally win a few games and think they are just the BEST

    GOD I HATE THE JETS!!!

I hate them both, but thats easy. The Pats. Although, how sweet would it be to watch the Jets get to the superbowl, and then blow it lol

Not sweet at all considering I've never seen the Phins in the SB. The only way the Jets get to one before the Phins do is over my dead body.

I could never stomach the Jets - especially this particular version of the Jets - in the SB.

I'd root for the Pats all day every day over the Jets. Not only Rex Ryan but I could not stomach the praise of Mark Sanchez.

It absolutely kills me when this guy wins games - everyone praises him like he's great b/c he puts 17 or 20 points on the scoreboard and they win b/c their defense made a ton of stops. I would barf and probably not watch the SB or any sports that entire week if the Jets made it - between Rex Ryan and all the talk about Sanchez - I just could not abide it. I'd have to become a monk for a week.

I want Sanchez to go by the wayside and then I want all the "hype-meisters" at ESPN to eat their words. I'd send them emails continually telling them to just SHUT UP each time they hype another Jets QB!

Man ... I hate the Jets! This thread is making me hate them even more!

I really don't have the hatred for Brady I did back in 2001 - I've come to realize the guy is truly an all-time great and he throws an incredible pass with impeccable motion. At least he really is a QB worthy of the hype, unlike Sanchez.

Just doesn't matter "if" it comes down to that for me. I hate the Jets more, personally. But it doesn't mean I'd root for the Pats either.
There is no lesser of two evils in this scenario.
Besides, the Pats would destroy them again in Foxboro.

There is no way ANYONE on this forum will say the Jets. Come on

Also, I don't think there is much of a chance of the scenario happening. The Jets will most likely go into the playoffs as the lowest seed and the Pats will be the highest. That being the case, they would play in the divisional round and not the AFC Championship game. The only way I could see them playing each other in the championship game is if the Pats lose the next two and the Jets win the next two. Then the Jets win the division and the Pats are a wild card (but not the lowest seed).

This brings me to an interesting question. In the RARE event that Buffalo beats New England this weekend and the Jets beat the Bears (I know this is highly unlikely - dare I say impossible) a Miami win in the final game coupled with a Jet win over Buffalo gives the Jets the division and a first round bye. Do you root against your own team in that final game? The obvious answer is to say you would like to see Miami beat the Pats and the Jets lose to Buffalo, thus giving NE the division anyway. But let's say that the Jets jump out to a big lead early (both games are a 1) and Miami is in a dog fight with NE. Are you pulling for Miami to choke the game away?

In 2008 I was faced with a similar scenario. The Jets were eliminated from the playoffs by the time they played their final game against Miami (a lot of people here get that wrong - they seem to think that the Miami win eliminated the Jets. Not so). So as I watched that final game my choices were a) Jets win and NE goes to the playoffs with Matt Cassel and b) Jets lose and Miami goes to the playoffs with Chad Pennington. I was really conflicted. On one hand, I hate losing to Miami. On the other hand, I hate the Pats. Then there is the fact that I am a big Pennington fan.....but it would make us look like idiots for letting him go and having old man Favre break down and ruin the season. I think I flipped back and forth 5 times while watching the game :D Finally I just thought that the Jets season was toast no matter what, and I like Pennington so I would be happy to see him get in the playoffs over the Pats. I didn't jump up and down and go crazy rooting against the Jets. But I wasn't that upset when they lost. And in the back of my mind I knew that Miami was going to get pasted in the playoffs (no offense), so it didn't bother me so much.

Anyway, I'd love to hear if you would openly root against your own team in the scenario I laid out.

quoting for exactly how i feel. And being a UCLA fan i hate Sanchez since SC days. Plus every freaking SC fan and Latino(especially the women) here loves that dbag. If i see a Jets jersey its of him.

Plus i have no problem admitting the Patriots have been the best franchise in the NFL for the past 10 years. They draft awesome never pay Top players not named Brady, trade for/away good players and still dont miss a beat.

I'd root for the Pats in that game. And, it actually benefits the Dolphins b/c from a fan's perspective, the higher the draft choice the better, right now. Losing the next two or 1 of the next two betters that pick. It could be significant if we are looking at a QB or RB that would be hot commodities mid 1st round level.

I agree with everything except that blurb about Brady and All-Time QB thing. I can think of at least 5 QBs I'd take ahead of him even if he won another SB.

I am now offically pulling for Indy to pull all of the chestnuts out of the fire thus saving my beloved AFC from the Pats/Jets sindrome once again and if that does not happen I will be cheering for the NFC Champion to win all the marbles and go to Disney World!!

The Jets in a Superbowl, however, THAT my system is unprepared for, and I might never be the same after experiencing it.

So what? Bellichick might celebrate by banging some dude's wife. Rex Ryan will go on and on and on about it for a year. He'll shove it down everyones' throats. I think the choice stays the same. At least Bellichick is a quiet dirtbag.

This or a sinkhole opens up midfield.

I neither of those are available I'd root for New England.

Personally I'd rather the Pats win 10 more Super Bowl titles than the Jets to win just one.
All because of the NY fans.
