Probably true, sir. Yet, such vocal rabble may give the extra push needed for Ross to really insist on major changes... whether at coach, QB, OC, GM or all of the above, who knows.

Squeaky wheel gets the grease and the fans are fed up.

They paid good money for a football game and since they felt they didn;t get one, they used their money for a chance to voice their opinion publicly.

Embarassing, yes. Warranted... I can;t judge since I didn;t spend what they spent, go through the trouble they did to go to that stdaium and get all excited to attend the game, sit through the crowd energy of the cheering and the lets downs... and I was not as drunk as many of them probably were. So, I can;t judge whether I would have chanted too.

Classy, no. But our franchise currently may not deserve classy treatment. Just a donkey punch to the back of the head to wake it up.

It's called John Beck syndrome. Fans on this board are enamored with piss poor QBs.

I brought this up in another thread and got reamed for it but its the truth. For some reason some people cant see, or refuse to see for that matter, whats right in front of them. Its almost as if stating the obvious and bashing a Dolphin player degrades they`re integrity as a real fan.

Henne will be a Dolphin next season. Hopefully he'll have a new OC.

Yeah to me, he seems to be, with his other deficencies, mentally weak. If he lets a bunch of idiot fans bother him, then he needs to find another line of work. If he had produced this season with the Jets (we only wish !!!!) he would have been tarred, feathered and quartered by now !

I don't think it's the stating the obvious, but total lack of rational thought and/or mindless drivel. Look, Henne is a starting QB in the NFL. He played for a major college team for 4 years. He came to the Dolphins after a 1-15 season, new coaching, new owner, pretty much ALL new players. The Dolphins entire organization was a mess. Now, he is asked to do the impossible with a senile OC, no running game, no fan support, and it seems coaches who have trained him to be Chad Pennington. I think most rational people can see that Henne needs more than 26 games, especially under these circumstances, to show whether or not he's capable. I have not read ONE person here say that Henne is or ever will be good to great. However, I have read MANY people here who claim they know more than the NFL and claim they somehow know what Henne is.

If Henne, after next season, andwith a new OC, hopefully a better O-Line, and a running game still plays poorly, I'll be the first to say he needs to go. Until then, however, I'll give him a reasonable amount of time under reasonable circumstances to see what he really is.

Unfortunately I see this too, as there is not a real FA option or a draft option given who is drafting in front of us. We are stuck with Henne for next season. It is what it is......

We don't really have any other choice. I've said this over and over. Unless Kyle Orton is our savior, Hennes the only option going into next season. We wont be getting Luck in th draft and we don't even have the means to trade up anywhere near that high to get him. The rest of the FA QBs is pretty weak. So it's either we hope Henne pans out or we get ready for yet another QB search that will take yet another 2-3 years. Yay.

The fact that this franchise has continually failed to replace Dan Marino is no reason to give up and stick with a guy who isn't getting the job done. I'm all about giving Henne another chance next season with a new offensive system, but to not try and upgrade the position given the poor year Henne has had would be completely irresponsible knowing what we know about elite QBs being an essential part of a superbowl team in today's NFL.

Well, if possible we could draft QB, and hope & pray the Henne has a Brees 2.0 moment. That would be ideal I guess.

    And about the presser...more like a DEpresser...AMIRITE?

Chad Henne was benched this season. And guess what? IT WASNT ME THAT BENCHED HIM. He was benched for a reason, unless,of course YOU know more about the NFL and Henne then his coaches.

That same argument can be used for the folks that don't mind hanging onto Sparano/Henning. Henning should be gone either way. Henne is starting to lose me, but I would like to see if there would be any significant change in him with some different coaching..maybe, maybe not, but I think it's worth seeing.

    the infamous quote:

"Those criticisms (about Chad Henne) are probably coming from people who don’t watch the game. Chad Henne is a guy who’s more than capable of being an All-Pro quarterback. Again, it’s not just him. His destiny is in the hands of others: wide receivers, offensive line, offensive coordinator, the organization. It’s not just one guy. He relies on everyone doing their job."

    -----Brandon Marshall

or those criticisms are coming from people who have watched those games & can actually see the problem & want to fix it.

    1) henne has effectively ended his own career. my guess is he'll be traded or return to back up the new QB for 2011
    2) better to end the mindless man-crush & move on for the good of the team. henne is a bust, his time has come & gone
    3) we need to rebuild the offense: fire Sparano & Henning, acquire a new QB, Center, Pulling Guard & RB
    4) please, no more excuses

Very true. I`m still on the fence with Sparano, although I feel his negatives outweigh his positives so I wouldnt lose sleep if hes a goner. Henning on the other hand shouldnt even be remotely considered to return. Henne? I think I made it clear how I feel about him. And If he`s still our QB next year (which seems probable, unfortunately) I would have no choice but to root for him and hope he shows dramatic progress. But I dont see that happening.

And I can totally understand why folks feel that way about Henne. He drives me crazy...it looks like the light goes on for a series or an entire half and he looks great, then it all falls apart. I think I'm just wary of hitting the reset button again on a QB until the playcalling changes. And if he still has problems leading the offense after that, then by all means, lets get someone who can.

It just feels like we've been looking for that player for 12 years :(

Henne is a bust, get over it. if we see him @ all next year, it will be on the bench behind the new starter.
the only question to answer @ this point is who has more value as a backup or trade Thigpen or the henne

Henne just doesn't impress me in ANY facet of the game anymore except his velocity and arm. But if that were all it took, then cavemen would still rule the world.

He's a starter in the NFL. I don't know more than the NFL or coaches. I've stated that repeatedly. You say Henne sucks. Seems to me that you think YOU know more than they. The farthest my Henne "commitment" has gone is to say he needs more time to prove that he either isn't or is a quality NFL QB. Some here think they already know what NFL experts don't.

What a conundrum you have, you sure painted yourself into a corner with this post, huh? LOL!

I don't see anybody here claiming to know more than an NFL coach. But there are plenty of poor QBs starting in this league. You seem to be making some kind of argument that just being a starting QB is enough to prove he is a successful QB. Do you think Jake Delhomme is a good QB? He started this season out as the starter. The problem is there just aren't enough elite QBs to go around. But to win, teams have to keep searching for one.

As for Henne needing more time to develop, it's the old John Beck argument over and over again. Just how long do you propose the Dolphins give Chad Henne? One more year? Two more? Meanwhile the franchise is set back further and further. I was a Henne believer. Go back and look at my posts. I thought he had "it." But the fact that he has made no progress this season, and seems to have regressed quite a bit IMHO, is a huge cause for concern. I'm sure those coaches that know much more than I or anyone else on this board are thinking the same thing.

dont you wish your QB was hot like me- love Shaun Hill

Poor Henne............you r crying cuz you dont feel the love....you say there is no fan support..

Well, if it makes you feel better, we could support trading or cutting you!!

And fins fans..........STOP making Henne excuses..........the people around him has NOTHING to do with the fact that Henne cannot throw accurately, throw more pics than TDs and completions. He is POOR at reading defenses, is brainless at making quick desicions..........and show absolutely no promise. Face the facts and move on!!!

And that is why the Lions were singing yesterday...........in particular Shaun Hill, " DONT YOU WISH YOUR QB WAS HOT LIKE ME........DONT YA??

Huh??? I have been watching the games............i see a guy who or underthrows or, overthrows or gets sacked cuz he is scared to throw.........

I see a guy throw pics over and over and over and over.....not even close to being completed.....almost looks like he is doing it on purpose!! ...lol......and he throws those pics with the game on the line......how many pic 6s this year.........that s called......ummm.....let me see........... a choker...........can someone get the stats for the Jets game............50 yds was it???? Didnt he get benched this year for Pennington??

OMG!!! A guy who doesnt move the offense..wait...i take that back....he moves us backwards.....getting these FACTS.........?

I see a guy with no self confidence. With a marquee reciever who he cant get the ball to. I see a guy who is one step too slow and not ready for the NFL...............by the way..........check out these blogs...........Dolphin Nation strongly agrees and nobody would care if we found out tommorow, that he was cut, traded or run out of town.

Here is a guy with the physical tools, but another Ryan Leaf who mentally just cant get it done...................

SO please dont tell me what he is CAPABLE of doing... or about potential.........if you have seen enough to want to keep him as your QB, then you are right about one thing....we are not watching the same game

There are tons of people who are claiming they know what Henne is, and thus, know more than an NFL coach. The problem isn't that there's not enough QB talent to go around, the problem is Henne is inexperienced and the overwhelming majority of QB's in this league need more than 26 games to prove what they are or what they aren't. NFL coaches realize this and that is why he was A) Drafted, B) is a starter, and C) will be back next season. I think Delhomme used to be a pretty good QB.

"Over and over again" I've stated how long I think Henne needs. And that is...next season. Give him next season, with more than 1 or 2 seasons with his top WR's who they themselves have either 2 TOTAL years in the league or 1 year with the Dolphins. Give Henne a new OC. Give Henne a decent running game. Hell, people say that Dan Marino, possibly the greatest QB ever, couldn't win the big one because he had no running game. Yet, some here would like to see Henne not only win, but win with 25 starts under his belt and no running game. Unfair, wouldn't you say?

You are correct. The fact is that if not for the injury to Pennington. Henne would have ended up this season right where he belongs. As the back up QB on an NFL team.

Its quite obvious what he is. A starting QB because his replacement for ineffectiveness got injured. Now,how can anyone debate that fact. That has NOTHING to do with your opinions or mine. His NFL head coach decided that, not us.

The fact that he was drafted and is a starter means NOTHING if he's not getting the job done. It means nothing if he keeps throwing more interceptions than touchdowns. It means nothing if he continues to collapse in two minute drills. He's not getting the job done. He has regressed instead of improve. It's ok to keep him, and start him next season if he proves to be better, or more ready than whoever they draft. But you cannot BANK on the fact that he will improve. That would be completely and utterly foolish. NFL teams know this.
