http://www.democratandchronicle.com...onovan-McNabb-Miami-Dolphins-a-reasonable-fit O please no i'd rather just stick with Henne. We better be carefull asking for a QB they might dig threw the dumpster. interesting quote Henning has bounced around the NFL for a long time (with nine teams). He was Buffalo's offensive coordinator for one season in 1997. The Bills dropped from 10-6 and 319 points in 1996 to 6-10 and 255 points in 1997 and his conservative play-calling annoyed many fans. ... Sounds familiar!
I hope not. Please,no more former great QBs to lead the Fins.If we bring in a vetran hope it's a youger one.
Agreed i'd rather just start over with a rookie than try Farve or a Mcnabb ect now. Stay out of the well used pile please.
Well..how about no? The ONLY way I could see signing McNabb is "if" he is waived and he is the only FA Qb we would have a shot to bring onto the roster before there is a lockout and even then 2% chance..MAX.
Noooooooo, no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no And just in case you don't undersand NO
Let's just bring back Chris Chandler and Doug Flutie and maybe Rich Gannon out of retirement and have them all compete for the job. This way, we know we will be getting the best geezer for the job.
How is McNabb a "reasonable fit"? Is it b/c he's never been in an offensive system that's even close to anything Miami's ever run?
ummmm.....only thing would say is that he, Mcnabb would be an upgrade...but you still need to draft a QB, because I think McNabb is just a stop gap
Bob Mathews is a senile sports writer for a mid-size city. He just pulls things out of his arse and had no clue what he is talking about.
I think vick would of been a better option,I think he will execute the wild cat like no other and he can throw too. Mcnabb still has some time left but i dont think he fits our offense.
They better keep Henne around and draft another Qb late because there is a good chance Henne beats out McNabb
If he's a FA, I'm not opposed to bringing him in. However, it is with a caveat. The caveat being that we need to bring an West Coast Offensive Coordinator that has run almost the same offense he ran in Philadelphia. Also, that we take a QB in the draft that can run the WCO. I thought it was a good strategy bringing in Pennington and drafting Chad Henne. I wouldn't mind doing it again. I don't think we MUST start our future QB next year, but we MUST find him next year. I think Donovan can be very successful in the offense he was so successful in. If we had Donovan McNabb with those caveat's this year, I have no doubt we're a playoff team.
