We quit this game. It did surprise me on Sparano, and even more so with the D quitting on Nolan. I thought the team would at least give an effort, on both dides of the ball. Say what you will about a coaching change. No one believed that as fact at kickoff. Very disappointing for both coaches.
I give you the ball 36 minutes. You give me the ball 24 minutes. Sound like a deal? Quarterback: No offense but I don't know how it's so foreign an idea that they are the NFL.
The players probably thought to themselves. . ."why bother getting hurt over this?" This team needs a serious gut check.
Thats exactly how they played. When that thought enters a players mind...the team is done and the Head Coach is done.
I didn't see the game, but I was in contact with a good friend that was watching it online Anyway, when he told me how bad they were doing, I said "sounds like Sparano has lost the team." And, my friend (who usually puts a positive spin on all things Dolphins related) said "no, I think they just look flat today." Now I read this thread and I'm thinking sight unseen I was right. Man oh man...I hope like hell Ross is smart enough to do what needs to be done. Time to clean house IMHO.
