Maybe I am a little dense but what does that have to do with the team not playing their hardest? I could not care less who is on the other side of the ball. It is Tony's job to have them ready to give their all, and this team did not do that yesterday by any stretch of the imagination.

Keep Sparano for at least 1 more season with a new young OC and an offensive minded draft/FA.

The beat the Jets STARTERS 45-3.

They beat the Bills STARTERS 34-3.

They beat the Bears STARTERS 36-7.

The only team NOT totally crushed by the Patriots in the past month was the Packers.

The quarterback that played an entire half yesterday? You know.... The guy that got them out to a 24-0 lead. He hasn't thrown an interception in over 320 passes. It took our bum 3 passes to acquire 1 interception yesterday.

Players quit? Hell no! Chad Henne played up to his ability for a half and Tom Brady played up to his ability in a half. The score was 24-0 and then our second string bum played their second string bum.

i just want to win some football games!!! im sick of having decent/good teams and not doing anything with it. if that means firing sparano... fine! if that means getting another starting QB... fine!! I'm just sick of losing games we should win and someone better do something about it!!

my personal opinion... Keep him for one more year, and fire our O coord regardless of what they think of him. I'm sick of him not opening our offense.

I'm a little mad how the way the season ended, but ill still stay here anyway... :)

I am serious 2socks...dead serious. While you want to hold Henne solely accountable for the ineptitude of our offense, specifically our two minute offense, I am not so selective. I blame him too, but I also hold Henning and Sparano accountable. Oh, and I was one of the many preaching for patience with Henne. That he needed to be given more time. Well, sorry to say but his time is up. As is Sparano's and Henning's as far as I am concerned. We don't have 6-8 years to get this thing right. It's been 37 years since our last championship. The mediocrity needs to end...now.

Oh, and no disrespect to you, as I understand where you are coming from and respect your opinion. But, I'm afraid we're gonna have to agree to disagree on this. :knucks:

I love the Dolphins and our fans, but I'm sick of some of you whiny fans that don't see the big picture. This team is acquiring young talent for the first time since JJ was around. Remember this was a 1-15 franchise with a depleted roster when this regime took over. Had we taken the Detroit slow progression route (i.e. 3-13, 6-10, 7-9) everyone would be just fine with the steady progression.

However, Sparano led this team to an unbelievable first season and followed it up with a solid 7-9 against the League's toughest schedule. This was no doubt the worst year, but don't let the record fool you. Look at the talent we have now and think about what a quarterback could do for this team. The last thing we need to do now is change course. This regime is bringing in the right players and I trust Sparano to get the team on the right track next year.

uhhh.....yeh. The thing NE has that stands out is their HC and coaching staff. Obviously leaps and bounds ahead of our staff. They continue to build top notch teams with less than experienced players. Most of their stars this year wouldn't even been given a chance by half of the teams in the league. As much as it pains me to say it, their whole organization is far ahead of the Fins.

They continue to make stars out of nobody players through good coaching. They have the off season and draft game down to a science it seems. Every year they are stacked with picks and turn them into almost instant contributors. The Fins need a BIG changes this off season. I only hope that Ross can get it done!!!

113-111 is to be expected when you change coaches on average of every three years. What are we gonna do....bring in Cowher or Gruden and in 3 years when we are 9-7 get rid of them to:pity:

Now a lot of "fans" are calling for his head:pity:

We didn't open our offense because Henne can't even do the basic's......so because the talent at QB is questionable at best you want to fire Henning.....I must have missed something......or he is a scapegoat.

I really like tony but i feel he has not done enough,Henn clearly is not what we expected as much as i argued with a few people in here that he is the answer.I think its time for a change and i mean clean house.

I would also get a new starting RB amd more help on special teams.

i feel we got alot of talent just not being used right.

I am trying hard to get you to the other side....lol

Henning with the obvious blessings of Sparano dumbed down the playbook. It is obvious and Sparano is on record saying he did. Basic's first then we open up the play book. Henne couldn't handle the basic's. Everybody screamed and hollered play Henne....play Henne. He wasn't ready. Sparano had a back up plan. That guy who came in cold and led us to 11-5. No one can say Sparano should have known because there is no way he could have.

I truly believe had Pennington not gotten injured we would have opened up the playbook and would not have lost to Buffalo, Detroit and Cleveland....putting us at 10-6. a respectable year given the circumstances and quite possibly a playoff appearence

What's lost in the bad QB play, subpar offensive weapons, and terrible execution (Zod and 2socks) is that ****ing Sparano put this team together. They came in proclaiming Henne as a great player and yet nothing. They put a **** offense together, put together a **** offensive game plan and now a **** season. Regardless of which players suck, who the **** put them there?

Don't put all those other words under my keyboard.

    November 14, 2010

4 Wins and 4 Loss and we've got another quarterback. That was the coaches decision.

Now are you saying that you didn't want to see Henne play out the year? Did you not want to see Henne even if we had Pennington available? What exactly were you saying on November 14, 2010? At this point, I think everyone should be asking that question. No, no...... We don't even want to think about that. We just want the coaches fired because CHAD HENNE failed.

    thanks

    I watched the video..................Pennington is G O D

Pennington is right the Patriots beat the NY Jets 45-3 on Monday night football.....yes ....they are that good

2 years ago people were trying to vote coach ....coach of the year....now he needs to be replaced?????

I am not looking forward to this crap.......Ross is a smart guy..............I hope all goes well so we can move forward and concentrate on getting a new starting QB

If you're implying I think Henne did a good job, you're wrong. But those guys put together a team with a shaky second year starter who I put a lot of blame on regression on the coaching staff and sold him as gold. Brought in a noodle armed vet who got knocked out in 2 plays, and turned a former scoring QB into a bad QB. There's no way around it. The coaching staff ****ed up. If you think I care about Henne either way at this point you're wrong. I just want to see him with a better staff.

I never put words on one keyboard........

I said people should be asking what they wanted out of this team on that date. Why? Because much of the same posters that want a Sparano's head on a stick NOW didn't want a Henne's head on a stick THEN. It was much too obvious then (even to the staff) that this guy was not going to get it.

    That's not true.

A statement that would make me wonder your thoughts on Pennington going into 2010.

    Same performance as 2008........

    http://www.nfl.com/players/tylerthigpen/profile?id=THI677677

    No, Chad Henne ****ed up.

If you don't care about Henne "either way" why would it even matter about the staff? Either way he's the same dude in 2010 because in YOUR WORDS - he didn't do a good job.

When the players no longer believe in you it is over and that was the case on sunday.Ask rickey williams.
His 1980s bill parcells mentality does not work in the nfl anymore. We need a more aggresive approach to keep with up new england.Play for a td not be happy with a field goal.

The fact that you are ignoring is that a bunch of guys were asked to head upstairs before 1pm yesterday or today. Ricky is most probably one of those guys that was just told "See ya later." How much would you believe in the guy that just fired you?

I can assure you 150%....Sparano wants to score touchdowns. So what if the guy gets excited when we score....WTF. Somehow getting excited when we score is now taboo:pity:
Sparano has heart..............poor draft choice in a QB......if it was even his choice. You nor I wern't there so who know's what Parcells input was. I will tell you this though...it was heavy
I AM A DOLPHIN FAN AND I'M NOT THROWING MY COACH UNDER THE BUS

And when did Ricky get any of his credibility back. Remember that guy.....you know...the guy that retired 1 week before the season started so he could smoke weed:wink2: And only came back because the organization sued him and he was ordered to repay 8 million he didn't have.....yea that Ricky

    Woah... hold on here.

Ricky was also on the record, on his show back at about the midway point saying most of the same things, there was a thread here on it. He was making similar comments on how coach Sparano's message to the team, and how his philosophy is falling on deaf ears in the locker room. This is some new found rant from Ricky because he's possibly not being offered a new contract.

Dude, his first sentence about the game threw Chad Henne under the bus TWICE. 6 minutes into the show Sid says "I know you now. You're pissed!" Ricky points to the contrast in the teams and then points to Nincompoop. Says he's angry at the situation, frustrated, and thinks he could have done something to make it better.

Please don't try and sell me a clear head here. This dude walked into this show pissed. 18 minutes into the show he's pissed about having to move and ingratiates himself to two NY teams "that run the ball." Then they start talking about West Coast teams, family, and settling down. 22 minutes into the show he's recounting the glory days of 8 years ago. 24 minutes into the show he EXCUSES Tony Sparano for being a nitpicker. The only thing he even remotely said positive about 11 years and 6 coaches in the NFL was being a free agent for the first time.

You may have read something earlier this year but you didn't read anything like this from the demeanor of a man who was just fired - officially ending an era of his life.

Look I don't like henne either but I don't want to get into that because I am sick of talking about.
I have watched this team drive down the field passing the ball then run on three straight plays to get into fieldgoal range numerous times. This conserative play calling is part of the reason they only won 7 games. They have a good defence but its not like they are the 85 bears.I want somebody to come in here leave nolan in charge on defence and revamp this offence.

You're serious? Look around the league. How many coaches have been with their teams more than 3 years?

Already Singletary, Childress, Wade Phillips, and Mangini were canned. Numerous others are on the hot seat. There's no way an owner will wait 5-8 years for winning to happen.

No fan base should expect/want that either.

The Bears are not that bad neither but they just lost 36-7. The Jets are not that bad a team neither but they just lost 45-3. At 24-0 Tom Brady left the game. At 24-0 both teams put some youngsters on film.

Did you watch the Lions game? Chad Henne had 2 interceptions in the final 5 minutes of the game. Did you watch the Browns game? Chad Henne had 3 interceptions in that game. Bills? We defeated the Bills in the first game of the season 15-10 when they had a worse quarterback under center. How is it so difficult to realize a loss of 14-17 when they put a BETTER quarterback under center?

Singletary was an extension of Nolan. That's the issue with being promoted from assistant. You and your staff are not NEW. Childress was there for 4 years and in that fourth year there was disaster that included future draft picks. Wade Phillips was fired in his 4th year. Mangini should have been part of "top down" destruction last year with Phil Savage.

So two of the four guys you mention were fired before 4 years. Tony Sparano has a four year contract. I never said anything about a 5-8 year plan.
