Might be worth looking into... http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000...ortedly-would-deal-qb-orton-for-2ndround-pick
You have got to be joking!!!! No more 2nd round picks for QBs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Plus, we have no second rounder.
No. Not only do we not have a second round pick this year, the guy is a glorified system QB. Maybe if we bring in McDaniels, but aside from that unlikely scenario, no.
No trades of players for draft picks until the CBA is ironed out, and that is expected to run through the draft on April 28th-30, so a #2 would have to be a 2012 #2. If they identify him as "their" guy, then by all means give up the #2 but it will be a marriage between Qb and Coach Qb fails, Coach fails.
Bro, right now there is no reasoning with anyone, the season may have well as been 1-15 with the 1-7 home record, so folks have their dander up never mind 6-2 on the road, for them it may as well as never happened.
It was my understanding that this would be true ONLY on draft day if no CBA is worked out before hand?
Cannot find the story, it was mentioned, and the problem is the current NFL season runs out in about 57 days or so, there could be a trade between now and then (or so I'd think) under the old rules, but once the season flips to the new one with virtually no agreements at all, the Commish has said no trades until it gets done and all trades must be approved by the Commish.
Why do people start threads that make no sense. Who in the hell would give up a second round pick for Kyle Orton. Especially when you don't have one. I don't really think I'd even give up a third rounder although I do like Orton somewhat.
Brandon Marshall said that Kyle Orton is a good QB if you want to lead the league in passing but not if you want to win a superbowl. Back on the NFL today show
Enough with the 2nd round losers. Go and get a bona fide 1st round Franchise QB and stop with this on the cheap stuff.
Why not? I mean, the last time we spent a 1st rounder, we only got Dan Marino. But with our 2nds we have: Aj Feeley Daunte Culpepper John Beck Chad Henne Pat White. Clearly the 2nd rounders have been more fruitful.
Just because Denver is asking for a second doesn't mean that's what they will get in return.. come on now, the asking price isn't etched in stone... might be able to get him for less...4th or 5th??
Well how about this, we trade out of #15, pick up a late 20's #1 and a #2, but offer our #3 and Merling for Orton?
