What have the Patriots won since they were caught cheating? Sure, they've been competative, but what have they won? In fact, they are now 5-5 in the playoffs ever since they were caught cheating. :pointlol:

There are a few things we know for certain about Spygate:
    1. Bill Belichick knowingly cheated.
    2. The NFL refused to seriously investigate the incident.
    3. The NFL destroyed all the evidence.

There are also things that we don't know:

    1. The extent of the Patriot Cheating
    2. How much of an advantage it gave them

Well, if we go by what has happened since Spygate, a reasonable conclussion would say that the cheating helped them enough to win 3 Super Bowls by 3 points in each.

And after all these years, FINALLY, people are starting to see what I've always seen. And that is, Brady is NOT good under pressure. When he doesn't have his usual 15 seconds in the pocket, which affords both him time to throw and his WR's time to get open, he WILTS. Look at past Dolphins-Pats games when JT would harass, or even just threaten to harass, Brady. Brady looked like a scared school girl. Super Bowl against the Giants, same thing. Last night, same thing.

Brady is no where near the greatest QB of all time. :tongue2:

Not many quarterbacks are good under pressure but I don't want to get involved in a discussion with you about Brady again. The last one didn't end well.

And Belichick is not the only one who has "cheated". Many have.

The TRUE greats of the game were/are good under pressure.

As to the rest of your post, so? My question is how much did the cheating help them in their playoff success? Anecdotal evidence suggests a hell of a lot! And if the NFL had allowed the scandal to be investigated, and hadn't destroyed the evidence, there would be more than just anecdotal, IMO.

I think they will be fine. They will be back in the SB soon.

Thanks. Have to say it was the best win I have experienced as a Jets fan....which just shows how bad it has been. The only thing that could top that win would be one next week.

Ryan came up with an incredible game plan. I really didn't think he had it in him, especially after that 45-3 disaster.

I disagree. If the Patriots in 2007 and then again this year couldn't win one, they won't any time soon.

Because history of five years ago is relevant?

They have 6 picks in the top 100. They could easily go out and draft 2 upper tier WR prospects much like they did TE last year. They could get more Dline depth, and more pass rushers all in the 1st 3 rounds and still probably be able to trade a pick for one next year. They have plenty of chance to be better next year.

Of course. That year they had maybe the best offense EVER. I doubt they will have something like that anytime soon. In 2007 they also had the 4th best defense in the league. The simple fact is, the Patriots have been figured out. It was bound to happen.

Since their last Super Bowl win they have lost the edge of cheating, Charlie Weis, Eric Mangini, and the core to their championship defense. To name just a few things. The media likes to hype them because Brady is their "Golden Boy". As long as Belicheat is there, and because of his defensive prowess, they will be competative. However, and as I said earlier, the rest of the NFL has figured him out. Sure, it takes a good team to play the type of game needed to beat them, but the 2007 Super Bowl against the Giants, last year's Ravens- Pats playoff game, and this year's Jests-Pats playoff game is proof to me that all it takes to beat them is to put pressure on Brady. If your defense is good enough to do that, you will win. In the Super Bowl Brady was sacked 5 times and scored 14 points, in last year's Ravens playoff game Brady was sacked 3 times and scored 14 points, in this last playoff game against the Jets he was sacked 5 times and scored 14 points. (Well, they scored 21 points but that was garbage time and after the Jets had won and shut it down.) Now, do you think this is all coincidence? I don't. And again, since 2005 the Patriots are 5-5 in the playoffs with two 1 and dones.

The Patriots have a system that allows average players to look really good. However, this same system is being figured out by the rest of the NFL.

Everything you've written here is false. If I didn't know any better I'd think you were lying on purpose.

I've given Sanchez credit when credit was due on multiple ocassions. However, I've also said that he's surprised me, but he isn't what the media thinks he is and is a game manager that keeps plays alive with his feet.

Brady is the product of a system, but I've said over and over that he's a HoF QB.

Never said the Jets "suck". I mean, as a Dolphins fan I have to say they suck when I talk about them, but how many times have I told you that they are a good team?

I've never, not once, said Henne would be anything with better coaching. I've said I don't want to give up on him and I want to see what he would be like with better coaching.

Defense does win championships. I've always believed that because the facts prove this to be the case.

    Pittsburgh will whip the Jets.

And you're repeating yourself a lot. Is that because you have dementia or are you still drunk from the Pats - Jets game? lol

If they have 3 straight seasons with 9 wins or less, or 3 straight years of no playoffs, maybe I'll agree. A 14-2 season doesn't prove them being figured out though.

They have been figured out. They are 5-5 in the playoffs after going 9-0. Yes, they are figured out, but, and like I wrote earlier, it takes a very good team to beat them. Why? Well, pretty much the only way to beat them is to pressure Brady. However, that O-Line is so good it's very difficult to do that. When Brady has his usual 30 seconds to throw the ball, they are unbeatable. Hell, any team that can give their QB that much time would be. Brady is not used to having to play under pressure. When he does, he makes bad throws and can't find his WR's.

Some teams and defensive rank (ppg) that NE has beaten this year:

    Pittsburgh - 1
    GB - 2
    Balt - 3
    Chicago - 4
    NY - 6
    SD - 10

The top 4 defenses in the NFL couldn't beat them this year and 60% of the top 10 lost to them.

I set you up perfectly! I knew someone would say this.

Well, teams, throughout the season, transform. They adapt. They change. Yes, the Patriots beat those teams in the regular season. Once those great defensive teams get another chance at the Pats, they win.

2007- Pats beat Giants in regular season.

2009- Pats beat Ravens in regular season.

2010- Pats beat Jets in regular season.

In the post season, all three of those teams beat the Pats. ;)

    Defense wins CHAMPIONSHIPS. ;)
