Mike & Mike were saying that team"s outlook, looking for a QB, may change due to the CBA. You cannot trade for a QB, have no idea if or when there will be FA. This applies to all positions. The draft is the only sure thing in a "Sea Of Uncertainty." How might this affect our picks? Here's hoping we can swim well in that Sea.

I'd honestly like to see what JaMarcus looks like if he actually dedicated himself to the game (in all aspects). I wonder if he has regrets about not living up to expectation, or if he could care less b/c he's financially set for life. I'd think sooner or later the competition bug might have to kick in for this lazyoid once he realizes money doesn't buy everything and it gets boring sitting on your *** all day long while watching your LSU & Raider teammates playing football on Sundays.
Of all years, this is the year to give Russell a shot. The worst that happens is he becomes a 3rd stringer with NFL experience. lol.
Agreed, there is not much downside to bringing him in as his contract would not be on the level of Young's and he does have 20 games or so starting experience, which to me is the bar for a backup Qb, they should have some idea what the job requires by that point in time. Would really like Vince Young, of the "free" Qb's he is my #1 choice.
As much as I hate the thought of Vince Young being our QB, I'd much rather give VY a shot than Russell. If Russell hasn't shown any desire to this point, I don't have faith that our regime can get him anymore motivated.

Which is still the stupidest thing people can say. We won 7 games WITH Henne. Lost 8 games with him. This defense simply is too good to allow a season like that. People are dreaming.
Exactly, this is why I lulz at "oh no, not Vince Young!!!" As if the alternatives are Marino or Griese..we have not had a Qb make a probowl in 13 yrs...since Marino retired, and yet a 2x pro bowl Qb who is 27 is some fate worse than death!
VG comments. However, I was looking for opinions on what we may do in the draft if there appears to be a very late or no FA. We still have the needs at RB, OL, and QB. IF it looks like we cannot fill the needs in FA, how does that affect our draft?
