As well as being unimportant, Brown could have run a 4.39 the fact he has missed so many games made and makes it irrelevant imo.
This is underwear analysis. Analysts like these come out of the woodwork after the combine. Ingram is a bruising back with amazing vision and balance. And very very productive against top competition. That is all you really need to know. He's not flashy, therefore he's not considered a lock. But he'll outproduce a guy like CJ Spiller every Sunday.
I recall some saying that Jerry Rice was not fast enough to be anything special. I think he ran a 4.6. That slow SOB was useless. I over-exaggerate to make a point. Speed is a good thing to have but, it is no where near as important as some think. Pitt is a VG example at WR. Wallace is a burner but, anyone want to tell me they would want him over Hines Ward?
Ronnie didn't have a great 3rd gear or open field vision. Most of his speed in his 4.4 forty was in the first 2 seconds. There was a time where Ronnie was one of the top in the most 20 yard runs.
Which is sort of Ingram's game, the difference would have to be whether or not they believe he can stay healthy were Ronnie B couldn't.
Hard to tell since we haven't seen Ronnie catch a pass since Cameron was here. Ingram's receiving game is solid though.
can only be one pick @ 15 I'm sure the FrontOffice will consider his break away speed or lack of it before committing the draft
Mark Ingram gets to his top speed faster than than anyone else, so no , Iam not scared..Thats the most important kinda speed for a back.
That is a running back most important skill vision.Thats why reggie bush is an average running back no vision. Can't out run everybody to the sidelines like in college.
