Ah, this should stroke ye olde Dolfan Cortex's.

FWIW, I like Mallet more than most Draftheads do, to me his desire to hit plays downfield is hard to find in Qb's coming out of college today.

Dalton is a very interesting player to me, I know some really don't like him but if we can get him in a discount round??? Interesting.

Well, this just sort of confirms what I though of Mallet's game, it is on par with some of the best Qb prospects to enter the draft in the last 15 yrs.

I like Dalton as one of those good at everything, great at nothing types. A few of those become great if it turns out they really are great at something (usually accuracy, processing speed ar ability to extend the play), but most end up as good back-ups. The key seems to be their character and work ethic. That's why Mallett would be off my board. We've had three different places (HS, Michigan and Arkansas) all with reports aabout how he didn't work hard/wasn't liked by team mates. If it was one then you can ignore it. After three different places all say the same thing, I think you'd be foolish to ignore it. He also doesn't seem to be great in any of the three categories that result in success(accuracy processing speed or extending the play). Obviously Mallett could break the mold, but I don't think you generally win in the draft by expecting players to be different than what they were (hard worker).

I don't know if Dalton is good at everything. I personally don't think he is.

I don't see how anyone could want either of those QBs over Ryan Mallett. And I doubt any GMs will either.

I wouldn't be surprised if a few GMs have Mallett off their board entirely.

Probably the Packers, Colts, Patriots, Chargers, Saints, Falcons, SteAlers, Ravens, jests, Eagles, Giants, Bears, and Buccaneers.

But, I still doubt any GM would take CKaep or Dalton over Mallett.

    Famous last words.

And don’t be too sure the teams you listed don’t have QBs on their boards. Green Bay had Favre and still drafted Rodgers.

I would bet just about anything that the Packers do not draft a QB on day one. LOL...Aaron Rodgers is easily the best QB in the NFL, is young, and just entering his prime. That would be the last team on my list to draft a QB in the first two rounds.

IDK about CKap Deej, I see a great arm and great Wonderlich score, I see a seemingly good 40 yd dash time but it not translating out on the field, really have not seen enough of him to make me think he is a high draft choice.

Hmm come to think of it, I know what I don't like about him..he doesn't remind me of a NFL Qb, there is no one that I can compare him to that I've seen play in the NFL.

iam takin a chance this year with an athletic QB {this is the year to do it}..I like his instincts and playmaking skillset..I know he can be taught to do the fundamental stuff with that athleticism..Its the playmaking and escapability that cant be taught..The QB I would choose this year has to have that specific skillset, ive been consistent about that since the draft process started for me...Iam done with falling in love with just an arm..

You can go play with your hammer...lol....

Dalton I have liked from the get as well, for some similar reasons, excellent QB functionality, good athleticism to execute all QB responsibilities with precision and quickness.

Before we drafted Chad Henne that is what almost everyone on this message board was screaming for was a strong-armed QB.

IDK Deej, the more I consider him the more he just says "developmental prospect", maybe it his frame but something about his game has turned me on him a bit, like the more I thought about him the less I liked his game.

22 carries per game, 4.2 ypa average=winning football in Miami.

I like him, think he has a good football IQ, dude he reminds me of is Boomer Esiason, he won't wow anyone with his arm or athleticism, but he will function really well in the NFL imo.

Still would not mind Pat Devlin in the later rds, but if Sparano is under the gun I'd think about Portis or Taylor to run the WC.

Devlin's release is niiicee Deej, not sure about his intangiables, but I like how the ball comes out of his hand.

Ronnie Brown can do that if we give him the ball 22 times per game.

I know, Sparano has not really used the jockey's whip so to speak outside of Ricky Williams in the last 6 games or so in 09, that is one of his flaws as a HC..imho, he is unwilling to make anyone into "the man" for the Dolphins.

Other problem is I do not think they trust Ronnie B to stay healthy, for a reason sadly enough.

    and I learned ''strait cash''..

I want the athletic skillset who is big, smart, hungry, with a big arm, you can have the soft hammer with poor work ethic...I'll take a chance elsewhere..as in CKap..

nice not gettin my ''hammer'' joke buddy.....I was referring to your love for Mallett..lol

I want the running back as well, you know that..

    6'5...225 lbs, gun for an arm...athleticism...smart kid...good intangibles...competetive..excellent work ethic..escapability talent..playmaker...

Yes thats right, hes a developmental project....well, i'll take my development QB with those qualities thank you very much...

I know how you feel about Henne, and I cant believe you want to play with your soft hammer...lol..

My risk is in the 2nd round or maybe later...yours is in the first...different story.

Ah, thought you meant a hammer of a running back.

Deej, ever happen to catch one of those dancing shows? There are folks on there who you can watch for maybe 10 seconds and you think "they can dance" then there are others who make all of the proper steps, they are in rhythm, but they really can't dance?

    That is CKap to me.

    Brass Balls pick=Ryan Mallet
Safe, boring, successful pick=Ingram, Carimi, Costanzo,
    Sneaky, dirty, filthy pick=Aldon Smith
