Just to see how we compare with the real NFL GMs, feel free to post where your picks were drafted in the GM League/where they were drafted in the NFL. LOL, Im not adding mine up! Honestly my draft strategy was kinda unique anyway so I figured id be in the neg according to this, the one suprise imo was McDaniel. Waiting to see if he flunked a test or something.

how are players that were traded factor? Like I "technically" picked Niles Paul, but as you know personally GIK that was done to keep things moving since I wasn't awake then. I also traded a pick for a drafted player too. Anyway, he's what I got: Dareus +2 Sheard +4 Cameron +12 Wright + 68 Wilson -43 Romeus -31 Rolle +5 Gantt -2 Only wound up roughly + 15 anyway at best.
Aldon Smith: Picked 10th, went 7th Lawrence Guy: Picked 81st, went 233rd (lol) Robert Sands: Picked 101st, went 134th Cedric Thornton: Picked C4A, went undrafted (lol) Jake Kirkpatrick: Picked 154th, went undrafted (lol) DeMarcus Van Dyke: Picked C5C, went 81st (lol Raiders) Anthony Gray: Picked 183rd, went undrafted (lol) strong drafting skills
Castonzo -10 (Drafted 12/went 22 in NFL) Ryan Williams + 14 (Drafted 52/went 38 in NFL) Stefan Wisniewski + 18 (Drafted 66, went 48 in NFL) + 22 total
I think we're forgetting to add in the comp picks that we had in our draft that were used prior to each of the picks and then deducting the forefeited picks by say Tampa Bay... J.J. Watt, I drafted at pick 19, NFL drafted at pick 11, plus 8 Phil Taylor, I drafted at 49, NFL drafted at 21, plus 28 Quinton Carter, I drafted at 93 (plus 7 comp picks, minus 3 TB forefeit picks), NFL drafted at 108, minus 11 Buster Skrine, I drafted at 157 (plus 7 comp picks, minus 3 TB forefeit picks), NFL drafted at 137, plus 24 Mario Fannin, I drafted at 216 (plus 16 comp picks, minus 11 forefeit picks), he was not drafted by the NFL, minus 33 (ouch) Eric Mensik, I drafted at 241 (plus 16 comp picks, minus 11 forefeit picks), undrafted, minus 8... jesus that is complicated with all the comp picks and forefeited picks... Anyway, I think my grand total is plus 8? or an average of plus 1.3 per pick. First time i've been doing this where I have a positive rating. I'll take it...and I think Fannin will make a regular season roster with someone.
There's no way I'm doing this with all the comp picks and everything else. That's way too messy. Mikel LeShoure 38 GML 57 Actual (-19) Sam Acho 76 GML 103 Actual (-27) Luke Stocker 80 GML 104 Actual (-24) Daniel Thomas 105 GML 62 Actual (+43) <--- Bonus points for a Dolphins pick Greg McElroy 113 GML 208 Actual (-95) Kris O'Dowd 120 GML Undrafted Actual <--- Whoops Jaiquawn Jarrett 133 GML 54 Actual (+79) Owen Marecic 155 GML 124 Actual (+31) Frank Kearse 182 GML 231 Actual (-49) <--- Bonus Points for a Dolphins pick. Overall I'm -180, but that's largely due to my 4th round picks in O'Dowd and McElroy. I knew I was reaching on McElroy but I figured O'Dowd would at least get drafted. Toss those two picks out and I'm plus 49. Had I kept Bilal Powell on my roster as a UDFA I would have been +128 on that pick as well ... not sure if I get credit for it or not lol.
Gabe Carimi drafted 18 in GML, drafted 29 in real (-11) Torrey Smith drafted 50 in GML, drafted 58 in real (-8) Kenrick Ellis drafted 61 in GML, drafted 94 in real (-33) Kendall Hunter drafted 82 in GML, drafted 115 in real (-33) Edmond Gates drafted 89 in GML, drafted 111 in real (-22) Curtis Marsh drafted like 135 in GML, drafted 90 in real (+45) Dion Lewis drafted 210 in GML, drafted 149 in real (+61) Aldrick Robinson drafted like 235 in GML, drafted 178 in real (+57) Overall +56.
They tend to be used by those hiding their draft deficiencies. Those with poor drafts shouldn't try to hide behind those because they were too scared to draft them. It is the "Draft Game"
Jake Locker #45 (GML) - #8 (NFL) = + 37 Marcus Cannon #55 (GML) - #138 (NFL) = - 83 (As soon as I heard about the Lymphoma, I knew it was bad news for this pick) Jerrel Jernigan #74 (GML) - #83 (NFL) = - 9 Jalil Brown (Comp Pick) #99 (GML) - #118 (NFL) = - 19 Taiwan Jones (Comp Pick) #130 (GML) - #125 (NFL) = + 5 Parnell McPhee #136 (GML) - #165 (NFL) = - 29 Mike Mohamed #168 (GML) - #189 (NFL) = - 21 Courtney Smith #177 (GML) - Undrafted (NFL) = - 77 Nathan Enderle #185 (GML) - #160 (NFL) = + 25 Ugo Chinasa #186 (GML) - Undrafted (NFL) = - 68 Ross Homan #188 (GML) - #200 (NFL) = - 12 Schuylar Oordt #193 (GML) - Undrafted (NFL) = - 61 Chris Hairston #218 (GML) - #122 (NFL) = + 96 Jermale Hines #219 (GML) - #158 (NFL) = + 61 Alex Wujciak #220 (GML) - Undrafted (NFL) = -34 Danny Aiken (Comp Pick) #229 - Undrafted (NFL) = -25 Draft Total = -214 Average = -13.375 Biggest Reach: OL Marcus Cannon (If it wasn't for medical reasons, I think it would have been different) Biggest Steal: OL Chris Hairston

I really liked what the Patriots did in the draft this year. They took two offensive lineman that I was really high on, Nate Solder is going to develop into a really good tackle, great size on him and he is heck of an athlete. I really think he could make the transition to the left side but looks like Vollmer will handle the left if Matt Light isn't signed and leaves Solder to be their RT for the next little while. Marcus Cannon can eclipse the sun and will be a good replacement for Neal, I'm hoping the Mankins ordeal blows over and he gets a long term deal, otherwise I'm fine with Cannon playing LG, and moving Kaczur to RG. I prefer Kaczur because he's more versatile and can be moved along the line. Ras-I-Dowling, I hear he's a good cover guy, the Patriots have struggled to nail a guy down in the second round. Hopefully he develops and doesn't become another Terence Wheatley. He should be a solid player that could become a starter opposite McCourty. The running back situation is interesting since they took two back to back. Looks like Bill is going to play the hot and cold game like he did with his rookie tight ends last season, because I never knew who was going to light it up for them week to week. Think about it Vereen is going to play that Kevin Faulk role, and I think Woodhead could do the same third down kind of back as well. Then you have Green-Ellis and Ridley as the hard nosed two down runners. So week to week you'll have a new combination to worry about, whether it's Green-Ellis starting off then being spelled by Ridley or Woodhead. Could be an interesting four man platoon. Mallet is great value at #74, I just find it funny that they went from Drew Bledsoe to Tom Brady and now back to a Bledsoe-esque QB. Crompton is the odd man out and after next season Hoyer should be worrying about his job.
CB/S Aaron Williams - drafted at 33 (ACTUAL: 34) Value: -1 OT James Carpenter - drafted at 70 (ACTUAL: 25) Value: +45 PK Alex Henery - drafted at 172 (ACTUAL: 120) Value: +52 So with 3 picks in the draft I was +96 in terms of value; thats an average of +32 in value for each pick. Based on that average every player I drafted was picked in the real draft a whole round before I picked him in the GM League draft. You all are lucky I didn't have more picks :P
im not sure on where i picked and where the players were actually taken, but pouncey, sherrod, ridley, and wilson - i think i did pretty good. i freakin KNEW to take bruce carter instead of wilson...wouldve been dead on. shouldve taken the guy i was the substitute teacher for when he was a cocky student in high school, but nooooo took wilson instead. oh well. also the committee gave me some guard from uconn. i dont know. im kinda drunk. post over.
Von Miller: #2 actual, #6 GML. +4 Niles Paul: #155 actual, #69 GML. −86 Austin Pettis: #78 actual, #165 GML. +87 Christian Ponder: #12 actual, #28 GML. +16 Byron Stingily: #175 actual, #169 GML, −6 Overall: +15. Of course, if I use a loophole by pointing out that Niles Paul is officially listed as a Bills draft pick, my score shoots up to +101.
I'll play, but I'll only include the players we actually picked and leave off the one that was awarded to us in the 6th (even though I think he netted out in the positive). Kyle Rudolph - we picked at 36, actually taken 43 (-7) Tandon doss - we picked at 60, actually taken 123 (-63) this is what I get for putting any stock in what McShay has to say William Rackley - We picked at 62, actually taken 76 (-14) Clint Boling - We picked at 77, actually taken 101 (-24) DeMarco Murray - We picked at 86, actually taken 71 (+15) Johnny Patrick - We picked at 98, actually taken 88 (+10) Ahmad Black - We picked at 102, actually taken 151 (-49) Colin McCarthy - We picked at 104, actually taken 109 (+5) Jarvis Jenkins - We picked at 107, actually taken 41 (+66) Chimdi Chekwa - We picked at 121, actually taken 113 (+8) Stanley Havili - We picked at 126, actually taken at 240 (-114) Total score: - 167 Maybe I should have kept this to myself.
