Every playoff win is a "miracle" until you prove you can win them they are surprise victories, and you have to get there to earn your stripes so to speak.

As for getting better players, getting a better Qb, come on man, you know more about football then that, it takes time for players to play up to and find their level of Performance, there is no magical pool of players simply waiting to come into a camp and lead them to Sb's after Sb's.

As for better Qb, why not better running game? Sanchez has been a mediocre Qb and yet has been to back to back AFC Title games mostly due to the running game carrying them through the season.

 

Neither were the teams that consistently go 13-3 or what have you..at one point in time, the Pats for example required the "miracle" of the tuck rule, the Colts had a terrible yr in time to draft Manning etc.

See and therein is the problem, you still have to build the team to the point they are in position to take advantage of those opportunities, the only way to do that is to...make the playoffs, reminds me very much of the bull**** about "franchise Qb!" the only way a Qb earns the title is to..win the SB..but you cannot win the SB without a "franchise Qb"..which amounts to selective memory of how those Franchise qb's became franchise Qb's in the first place.

Nonsense, each season is a new one, if you look at the ages and experience levels of the core players on those rosters, then compare them to ours, then one would realize how ludicris that is, they are chock full of 4 and 5 yr players in key roles, our core is only now reaching that level.
