Uhm, John Jerry sucked all season long, we "know" Henne does not do those things well, and now we know game losing int's are "impulse interceptions", okay..

Surprising they want to keep Richie I at LG, and it does not make very much sense imo, hopefully this is merely preseason/lockout banter because it reads very much like "status quo", foolish.

Jerry was not terrible at the beginning of the season. We started out with one of the best pass blocking O-Lines to start the season of which he was a part. All I'm saying is unless the man is a full blown idiot, his words have to carry some weight. Not just with the Jerry situation. I also think you missed an important quote that doesn't mesh with the narrative that Sparano and other's won't give him a vote of confidence:

Either they think he can beat what's on the market or they will willingly bring in someone they know can't beat the kid.

I didn't see Jerry get embarrassed...As a rookie starter I saw enough to feel comfortable letting him battle it out with Garner and not worry about the RG spot...and see if that sickness that caused him to miss 2-3 weeks and drop a ton of weight was an issue.

IMO, Jerry deserves a Mulligan for his rookie year. Any logical person cannot discount the effect of his illness, the time off, and the subsequent loss of weight and strength. WAAAAAYYYY too soon to throw in the towel on John Jerry folks.

Eh, not throwing in the towel on JJ MrC, under no illusions about how he played in 2010, it wasn't good.

Neither was Vern Carey as a rook, but he came around, as per usual my approach to this season is there really should be very few chances taken, the team has grown past that and should be a cohesive unit much more quickly as there is more experience on the roster now, even with the youngness.

John Jerry was a lot worse than what I expected him to be after seeing him in preseason. Based on preseason tape I was sure he'd be mediocre at the least. But that's not what I saw from him. He was usually the weakest link on the line when he was in.

Well everyome better hope Jerry is a lot better this year. You spend a 3rd on a right guard, he better play well, or it's a terrible waste of a high pick. With all things considered with Jerry, he shouldn't be written off by any means and has a chance to be a good player.

I agree with you. It's one thing to miss out on a 6th rounder like Donald Thomas. No biggie. But a 3rd round guard prospect, if you miss out on it, yeah there are percentages at work here but it doesn't look good. And if you miss on a 1st round interior offensive lineman then someone should just take the keys away from you.

Absolutely too soon to throw the towel , however not too soon to grade his season. He was really really bad,imo , the illness doesn't temper the fact that he didn't perform well at all.

If he steps up and plays at an above average level I will be more than pleased , and also surprised.
