Apparently 22.5 mph isn't fast enough to get away from Michi.

We owe her a big thank you. Most guys aren't training hard during the lockout. If he wants to live he has to to get faster! Corners got nothing on Michi

He did not start this to be a better football player. He's doing it so she won't catch him next time... :)

In all seriousness, with more break away speed he is huge trouble for defenses. I can't wait for football to start!

The best news is that his fantasy value has plummeted due to being stabbed and having a slightly sub-par season. Freakin steal this year.

Didn't he have off season hip surgeries the last 2 yrs? That would cut into your training and effect your speed. This has been his most healthy off season in 3 yrs, even with the stabbing.

Quoted b/c its a hilarious statement when read aloud. His most healthy offseason was the one when he got stabbed in the stomach... lol

Who cares about Marshall's speed. I care more about breaking tackles as advertised..... and that 2.8 YAC.

Speed to pull away helps considerably with YAC. YAC is far from just breaking tackles. Making defenders with quickness and speed, not letting them much of a piece of you, and then pulling away afterwards are all huge aspects of YAC...

He recovered from the knife wound a lot faster than he recovered from hip surgery I'd say.

    I know right?
Marshall is a high profile possession WR. Means he should catch balls use his size and strength to make plays.
I'm sure he can get down the field but not on a constant basis. Speed is fairly irrelevant.

He said this after the first week of the offseason. He was starting to workout and said it was the first season where he wasn't having to deal with a long, drawn-out recovery process due to surgery. And, by all accounts, he was working his *** off. Clearly, the stabbing was a setback. But I would like to think that it wasn't as bad as we all envision. I don't think we're talking Sharon Stone with an ice pick. Great to hear he is back and working hard. I've constantly said that he has impressed me since coming here. I think the end of the year was frustrating for everyone, and I wasn't shocked to hear about the sideline issues. But that's a far cry from being a "diva," in my mind. As the saying goes, winning cures everything.

somethin we have brought up before in the overall offense's lack of speed debates..Guess we'll find out this year who was right...He looked scary on the tread man...hehehehehehe, that makes me hyped Mr.C.

I agree Frayser up until a certain point, but he showed some bad flashes of immaturity that he needs to grow out of..He needs to play this season with his mouth shut after what kind of embarrassment he has brought to himself, his family, and our franchise..I want the guy to succeed bad, and I know he's got great talent, and I know how much he helps our team, especially if he's regained his explosion back, but if he can't act like a man, after what he's been thru, he's hopeless....1 shot Mr.Marshall..be a man and play ball.

If you don't think Henne can do that than your are drowning in the deep end Yank...In other words, don't fall for the bannana in the tailpipe..Henne has serious arm talent.

All this is good news. However, if he got his *** down to working out with Henne, Big Jake, and the rest of the guys it would impress me far more.

Henne can make every throw in the book, and then some..He needs proper spacing, good playcalling, a couple players that can get some yardage on his own, some speed to work with, and average special teams to put him into decent position to start drives..

Those are things that all successful QB's have.

Because you and the rest of the Marshall fan club perceive Brandon as a #1 WR which he is not. The guy is a possession WR and not a real good one judging from last season. He needs to be working on his catching ability..... How many drops was it like 13 or something plus only 3 TD's. Fifty plus WR's in this league had more TD's last season than Marshall. Speed isn't going to help this man. Focus will.

I could easily envision a scenario where Marshall's improved speed and better play calling lead to better separation on those short passes and we end up with more safe plays that end up as big plays and passing TDs. I agree that Marshall may be a fantasy steal this year.

That's because you see him for what he should be and I see him for what he is........ Highly over rated.
All I hear is Marshall could do this and Marshall could do that but he hasn't done it here.
#1 WR's make big plays. BM doesn't do that.

    LOL!!! He's not a number 1? Riiiggghhhttt...

Have fun with that. He had some drops for the first time in his career in the beginning of the season while adjusting to a new QB... and that drops him from one of the best WRs in the league to not even a #1?!? Wow...

So Santana Moss is a #1 WR then? He makes big plays...

He hasn't done a ton here yet, but would you not agree that you are looking at a small sample size (13-14 games) with some extenuating circumstances (injuries & learning new offense and QB)?

He's a #1. There aren't many of them in the league but he is one. He had a down year last year. Easy to say he's not a number one based off of one season. Why do you discount the ones he had in Denver? Because they are relevant when discussing his status.

You guys have bought into the Marshall hype and he has you fooled. The guy is a fraud. He gets paid and he falls off the map.
What he did in Denver is no longer relevant to me. His trade value is 2 second round picks and he gets 50 million dollars. I would expect the guy to make big plays but he doesn't.
Not to mention he plays like he is mad at himself or pissed at the world. He gets in his own head and that is where his game struggles. Just like the fans he needs to stop thinking about how good he is and prove it.
