Here's a great tune from Kenny Loggins. I was listening to the lyrics, and if there is a better theme song for this year's Dolphins, I have not heard it. From the FO, to the coaches, to the players, This Is It. If you don't show something THIS YEAR, there are no reasons, excuses, or anything else that will matter. This re-building project will be deemed a failure. Same can be said for Phinatics. We placed our hope and trust in this regime to take us to, at least where we were accustomed to be, and a step beyond. For ALL OF US, "This Is It!" There have been times in my life I've been wondering why Still somehow I believed We'd always survive Now I'm not so sure You're waiting to hear One good reason to try But what more can I say What's left to provide You think that maybe it's over Only if you want it to be Are you gonna wait for your sign, your miracle Stand up and fight This is it Make no mistake where you are This is it Your back's to the corner This is it Don't be a fool anymore This is it The waiting is over No room to run No way to hide No time for wondering why It's here The moment is now About to decide Let him believe Or leave him behind But keep me near in your heart And know, whatever you do I'm here by your side You said that maybe it's over Not if you don't want it to be For once in your life, here's your miracle Stand up and fight This is it Make no mistake where you are This is it You're going no further This is it Until it's over and done No one can tell you what you know Who makes the choice of how it goes It's not up to me this time You know There comes a day in every life This is it Make no mistake where you are This is it You're going no further This is it Until it's over and done This is it One way or another This is it No one can tell what the future holds This is it Your back's to the corner This is it You make the choice of how it goes This is it The waiting is over This is it No one can tell what the future holds This is it You're going no further

Page: 1

Reply to Topic: THIS IS IT!!! That CBA thingymabob needs to be signed soon. We're at Kenny Loggins people.........(not knocking the thread, just sayin we'd likely not be talking about this should training camp be a mere 2 weeks away). Songs fine.
Aqua, Are you living in a trailer, down by the river, to think that? A little SNL reference. Spam is a good thing, as per Monty Python. Hope you're not gonna take shots at them. Attacking some Phins players may be somewhat acceptable, but Monty Python is a different story. LOL
And thats tough to do with such tight jeans over them............... (yes i rehashed a 3 year old joke, and no i am not sorry)
Great song no doubt.
Either you're showing your age, or I'm showing mine, but Monty Python's Flying Circus was hilarious. Self defined "zany madcap British humor." John Cleese is one of the funniest men to ever walk the earth and the rest of the group was pretty good too, especially Michael Palin and Eric Idle. SNL, well I kind of agree. It ain't been great since the days of Adam Sandler, Mike Meyers, Chris Farley, David Spade, et al.
It's Kenny Loggins. You never heard of Loggins and Messina? Have you ever seen the classic comedy Caddyshack? Kenny did the opening song, "I'm Alright". I'm shocked when I hear someone hasn't heard of them because they were a household name when I was a young fellow.
Sorry for the misspell. I don't watch movies honestly. If I do, its probably to put me to sleep. I'm terrible with watching and naming movies, as well as naming and identifying actors/actresses lol.
Things are getting spooky Conu, if this continues some will be reduced to searching for random Dolphins games on the internet. "oh look, hulu has the 1988 matchup with the Jets!!!!"
"It's merely a flesh wound!" is all that need be said for Monty Python. Classic. As for Kenny Loggins, all I can think of is Danger Zone from Top Gun. 80's classic. And yes, the CBA needs to be signed like yesterday based on this thread.
I watched the NFL's Greatest Games on ESPN every now and then. Good stuff. The other night, they had the NE/Indy game from the 2007 AFCCG. Great game. Also watched TCU/Wisconsin bowl game again yesterday. Reminded me how crappy of a back John Clay is/was.
I've seen less geeking for something at 1 am driving around in cab...things could get ugly./ Fortunately for me, CFL kicks off tomorrow evening...roar you lions roar.
I went back and watched CFL games from 2010 just to see if their new QB was any good. And I'm looking for software to make Win98 look like Vista to put on some older laptops. This is what I've been reduced to doing.
We should all just watch Top Gun over and over and sing Danger Zone. Seriously though, you should get a free geek pass because I am old enough to remember the song and there is absolutely nothing to talk about.
For whatever it's worth, I heard this tune on someone's radio. I remembered it from the 80-81 NCAA March Madness, as it's theme song. A guy, who works for me, mentioned how it described our Dolphins this year. I agreed and posted it. I could have put up thread on This Is It for Henne, for Sparano, for any number of players, and for the team. No one would have had a problem, and most would have agreed. Instead, I took song lyrics which said the same thing, and said it very well. I thought most here would catch on but, maybe the lyrics were too long to read. In any case, a Mod should delete this.
Better lines are "We are the Knights of Neek" or "I will now fart in the general direction of your face"
Hey, he could run straight,.............its just when was asked to move in another direction is the big issue.
We're just giving you a hard time thats all. Gotta rub it in that we're old................and this song makes us feel that way now, cause we remember when it wasn't an old song. Don't take it to heart. Besides if you quit now, we'll never have a chance to tease Alen soon. He's the younging so we need to find something to pick on him about.
Yeah, he could run straight but he sucked *** on his first step, literally. Guy made the wrong reads.
Anyone who doesn't find Monty Python hilarious has never watched any of the movies. Catholic Dad (singing): Every sperm is sacred, Every sperm is great. If a sperm is wasted, God gets quite irate. Catholic Daughter (singing): Let the heathens spill theirs, On the dusty ground. God shall make them pay, For each sperm that can't be found. --------Meaning of Life Brother Maynard: Armaments, chapter two, verses nine through twenty-one. Cleric: [reading] And Saint Attila raised the hand grenade up on high, saying, "O Lord, bless this thy hand grenade, that with it thou mayst blow thine enemies to tiny bits, in thy mercy." And the Lord did grin. And the people did feast upon the lambs and sloths, and carp and anchovies, and orangutans and breakfast cereals, and fruit-bats and large chu... Brother Maynard: Skip a bit, Brother... Cleric: And the Lord spake, saying, "First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin. Then shalt thou count to three, no more, no less. Three shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thy foe, who, being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it. Brother Maynard: Amen. ----The Holy Grail
I took nothing to heart, and never quit. Would an Elvis tune like "Are We Ready" or a Beatles tune like "We Can Work It Out" eliminate the age problem, or make it worse? If it's still a problem, I can go back to the "1812 Overture" but, the lyrics sucked. LOL
We were not riding ponies, we were inventing and perfecting computer technology, and the way you young pups now communicate via phone, text, and twitter. IN NO WAY will I take credit for rap music. DAMN, did we FRACK UP!!! LOL
