http://www.miamiherald.com/2011/06/29/2290049_p2/a-plan-for-miami-dolphins-offseason.html Depending on the price, I think this possibly could be a good signing. It's a bit interesting for all he can do and how we might be able to use him and we all know that we could use some help in the return game. A big NO!!!!
Brad Smith lost half of his value this off-season with the pushing forward of kickoffs 20 yards. He didn't return punts in NY so as of now he's a below average WR and an above average WC trigger-man.
Yeah, Brad Smith I thought wanted more receiving snaps. We're not really in a position to give him that. I've heard enough opinions here on Vince Young to last a lifetime but he's redundant in this..you can run Wildcat concepts with Young. Jason Taylor would be a huge ****ing waste of time. He's finished as a pass rusher and not as good as Koa Misi other than maybe at dancing. Reggie Bush is a mediocre rusher and there really isn't a heck of a lot of evidence that we or anyone else is going to get more out of him than the Saints have.
20 yds? I thought kickoffs were moving from the 30 to the 35? Also, cover men will only be allowed a 5 yd running start, rather than the 10 plus they had before.
It's probably true, but I never heard of Smith wanting more snaps. I was just basing my opinion from what I saw of him on the field. Actually, I kind of agree with him. I thought the Jests didn't use him enough. You can run WC/spread type concepts with Young and he does intrigue me a bit, but I also like Smith for his possible return abilities and those reverse runs, etc, etc, etc. Totally agree about the others.
DeAngelo & whoever else we can find. But for this team, there is no alternative to having a dominant run game.
