Nothing to do with college. Which Miami players best depicts your opinion of being an American, on and off the field? I have to put Zach Thomas at the top of my list, overachiever, plays hard, parties hard, and says what he thinks, with respect for most. Bess and Big Jake were others I considered. Your choices?
Gotta say Dan Marino. On the field, there was no doubt about his heart, but he does off the field as well. He does ALOT of charity work for autism as he and his wife have an autistic child.
I see what you did there. Marlin Broscoe. Because the one thing more American than kicking *** and apple pie is good 'ole just being broke.
lol....SB..u funny.. Wasn't it in the rocky movies...'' I AM A REAL AMERICAN, i FIGHT FOR THE RIGHT yada yada yada
Davone Bess..he's getting consideration for the walter payton award....but that's to serious for this thread..
the great linebacker Eddie moore a man only ole Wanny could draft . Must say one time after a game Zach, Sam and one of the dt's were coming out of dolphins stadium and Eddie Moore triped over a fire hydrant but the hydrant was a blook away so Eddie was tripping out on us. OH what memories unfortunately I fear there could be more of those moments. ok i was being a clown but its true somewhat.
He got his opportunity, made the most of it, worked his kiester off, played it smart, competed fair and square, earned his place in the sun, achieved success, and is now making sure that others benefit, and lives according to his values. That, ladies and gentlemen, is what an American is, pure and simple.
