Just for fun, and to show how wrong the paid NFL media normally is, let's keep track of who says whom is going to the Dolphins: So far: Vince Young: Mort Clayton Schefter Ray Edwards: Lacanfora Travaris Jackson: LaCanfora: Reggie Bush Also have heard from several of these types, whose names do not spring to mind that: Deangelo Williams is a strong possibility to come to Miami, what makes that interesting is he is virtually the only running back rumored to be coming to Miami. Matt Hasselback: John Clayton http://nfltraderumors.co/nfl-rumors-matt-hasselbeck-done-in-seattle/ Donovan McNabb: Adam Schefter Feel Free to add your own "which pundits says so and so winds up in Miami"
I try to ignore most of them and focus on Mike Lombardi as he has the best, inside track, on what happens in Miami or he did. Who knows with Parcells leaving? I do suspect we will be attached to a lot of Free Agents and maybe even trades this offseason as Ross has garnered a rep for liking splash and headlines and Sparano/Ireland are viewed as on the bubble in 2011 meaning it is nothing for an agent to float a rumor about so and so having interest in Davie.
I like this idea. 2 Months from now we'll all look back at all this and laugh (and wonder why exactly it is some of these guys get paid).
Yep, and the rumors are really going to begin flying around now, with more people adding to this thread the more accurately "who" said "what" and when they said it.
Why is it so funny that a sportswriter says the Dolphins are interested in a player? The Dolphins may very well be interested in Reggie Bush, but what happens when a team like Seattle gives him a huge contract before Miami can make a play? Is that sportswriter wrong? All this hate for the media is silly! Yall are just jealous that they get paid to watch sports and you do not.
i dunno guys, i thought we would be in much better cap shape, with all these players available we should put the money in for next year as well
Well, Irish won't overpay, if I had my druthers I'd hope that Ross would stay out his way and budget monies for FA and UDFA signings that make the most sense for the team in terms of upgrade to cost ratios, but who knows if Ross can bring himself to allow that to happen? I do know Ireland was one of the few people who said: "We got Brian Hartline!!!!" On draft day 2010, Irish needs to bump up the excitement factor a bit.
