Mess down here. From what they did to Soprano and what they are doing with the Henne Orton ficasco. I think Henne will be much improved but it's apparent we are becoming a laughing stock team in the NFL

Then again they aren't fins Fans as Greenie likes his Jest and Golic is all over the place with who he likes, besides Miami

The fins have and always will be my team as it is all of ours otherwise we wouldnt be here. However we must all agree that the aggressivenes the front office talked about is the same retoric we've had the last few years. It's a shame it would be nice if we could turn it around. Lets try to support better too guys..

    Who's with me!:up::knucks:

What they say may or may not be true, but remember that neither of these guys care too much about the Fins anyway...Greenie is a jest fool as most of us here are Fins Fans and Golic thinks the Iggles are the cat's meow....they've always been down on the Fins, no matter what...

Mike and Mike is completely unlistenable. They're not funny. They really offer no insight, other than to talk about themselves.

Mike Golic is fat, not very bright and he likes to eat! Hahahaha!!! Let's make a joke about it.
Mike Greenburg is smart, a wuss, and is self-absorbed. Hahaha!!! Let's make a joke about it.

These guys suck. They (rightfully so) think their audience are a bunch of idiots. Its like the "Access Hollywood" of sports talk shows.

Mike and Mike should look in the mirror, their show is a mess IMO.

You can't really blame the FO with the Henne/Orton deal and how they've dealt with it. Blame the media. They're the one's who've blown it out of proportion. The team though they could bring in serious competition for Henne in Kyle Orton. The Broncos wanted a 2 and a 4 or a 2 and Starks Probably, THEN Orton wants somewhere around 8 million a year. For a guy that wont be "the guy", it's just ridiculous to give up that much. If anything, people should be applauding Ireland and company. Sure, now were stuck with another year of Henne which may be good, may be bad, but at least we've got some cap room still, and our high draft picks heading into next years draft if we need to then go out and draft a QB in what should be a strong QB class. If the media wants to say that it's ridiculous how we handled this, then maybe they should seek out some other profession, because that's just ridiculous.

Mort is on with them right now. He was banging on the fans a bit over the Otrton chanting and booing of Henne in practice the other day. Says it basically comes with the territory. What all of these people fail to grasp is the level of frustration that exists in the fanbase over the Qb situation. In our history we basically went from one HOF Qb to another and the last 10 years we have watched the position be completely ignored. I don't expect another HOF Qb but I do expect this team to make a real investment into the most important position on the team and it has failed to put any real effort into it. 2nd round picks and garbage picking is not going to get it done.

It is very telling that Orton is viewed as a sort of savior by the fanbase. That shows how much we are begging for some relief at the position.

I kinda agree with them. This offseason has been a hot mess. Its almost like the FO wasn't expecting there to be a season and now they're scrambeling to make some moves. Its gonna be a long season phin fans and my expectations of this team are not high at all.

Not that anyone should care what they are saying, but they're pretty much right.

This is an organization pretty much spinning it's wheels and on the verge of wasting a potentially great defense

I really think we have some really good to great pieces on offense, but it means nothing without a Qb to get the ball to the pieces.

    The D goes without saying.

Well unless we can get a current equivalent of Pennington falling out of the sky, I really don't hold out much hope.

It's a Qb driven league, if you don't have a good one you're in trouble. We don't have one.

I dislike that show...however, are they so wrong? The two highest profile positions on a football team, QB and Head Coach, have both been humiliated by the FO office within the past 6 months. Both tried to be replaced, both reportedly replaced, and neither replaced.....thats a mess if you ask me. We are banking on a 6th round rookie to be our #2 TE. A 2nd round rookie that has no break away speed to be our feature back. A 4th year QB that has shown no signs of being a NFL starter. Our #1 WR that is diagnosed with an awful disease. A 4th round rookie to be our only deep threat. We are banking on a WR stepping up to fill a position(#2 WR) we all were worried about last year, and the same players are back.

I'm not a sky is falling poster, for sure. With the team we have in place we should win at least 6 or 7 games. However, we need a lot of things to go right for us to even approach 9 or 10 wins. and for a FO that is in their 4th year(I think), that is not a good position to be in.

If we had a decent QB I would feel some reason to optimistic. I was way in support of Henne last year, but he never developed and to me regressed as the season went on. I am still hopeful that he will pull it together, he has to, and the biggest part of the trouble was Hennings playbook. But right now he has to show me cause I am really sceptical.

I think there's a major disconnect between Miami's team, fans and media. After last season, the fans wanted to see a new QB. The media slanted their coverage towards QB b/c they knew it would sell papers, deliver ratings and/or drive traffic. After all the over hype and sensationalist reporting we will apparently not get a QB to "compete" w/ Henne so the season is supposedly down the drain. Maybe & maybe not, but the front office has been doing a lot more than spinning it's wheels.

We drafted 4 guys on offense, including 3 skill guys, and traded for Reggie Bush. Ireland consistently said all offseason that he wanted to add more speed and playmaking ability. The owner said he wanted more flash on offense. The idea was to put more weapons and a system that fit his strengths around Henne, not to replace him. They said these things in public, everyone from Ross down to Sparano. And that's what they have done, or at least attempted to do. We won't know the effects of the changes for at least another few weeks but it seems as though anything other than a QB change isn't registering much on the fans' Richter scale.

The 2009 defense was atrocious in many areas, defending the deep ball was chief among them. We prioritized defense in the draft, added a new DC and in 2010 the defense was much improved. They have a realistic chance of being a Top 5 unit this year. So let's not pretend that this team can't turn a unit around quickly once they've identified a problem area. They've added some pieces offensively, I think we should allow them some time to gel before we begin to pass judgement.

Significant improvements on offense w/o a change at QB are fairly common. Josh Freeman & Matt Cassel are prime examples from 2010. KCs production improved dramatically under Charlie Weis and their defense has come along nicely w/ Romeo Crenell at the helm. Josh McDaniels and Eric Mangini have been fired 3 times as HCs but they are both well respected for being skilled tacticians. All are Bill Belichek disciples and now we have the latest of Belichek's offspring in Miami to help bring our offense into the 21st century.

I don't know if any of these moves will work or not but I don't think its fair or accurate to say that the FO hasn't been working hard to improve the team.

Am I the only one who believes the Dolphins can be really special this year? I know this team has struggled for over a decade but I honestly believe this can do better and will do better. Maybe its me but I think we can go 12-4 this year.

Oh would you get off it? Two media arseholes, one being a Jet fan, means nothing. Would you stop crying about this, it sort of muddles up the board and makes you look like you want to be right about our team being a laughing stock when this is far from evidence that it is.

Reports came out that we never even offered Harbaugh a contract, yet you, neither the media want to acknowledge that.

If the fanbase is so obsessed with Orton, than why don't you endorse they sign off on a 2nd round pick and a player for Orton? cause you know that is probably what there asking and holding out for.

If folks don't want him to do that then they should probably shut up, cause that's probably the reason why Irish has not made the deal..

People are *****ing when the guy is has probably handled the situation correctly, bottom line you don't know what the broncos are asking for.

I'm with you on this one; Tired of being so down on the team. I've decided I'm going to be like the Bills/Jets fans that are just delusionaly optimistic about there team. And if they happen to lose a game, who cares, there's another chance to slam another team into the ground the next week. I also need to make sure my delusional view doesn't become a high expectation view either because I've falling into that trap previously too.

My attitude, we CAN beat any team out there and we're going to attempt to clobber them, but we'll have to work for every single win!

Of course the team is a mess. It is coached by someone who should have been fired after last season. The GM is in over his head and will be looking for a new job after this season is over. Of course that is if Ross finally decides that winning football games is what is really important. So far all he seems interested in is providing the team with minority owners who seem to know even less about football than he does. The Jets and Patriots are far superior to the Dolphins and the Dolphins will have a hard time this year finishing above the Bills in the AFC East. I just don't see them winning more than then four or five games this coming season. Unfortunately, they will probably win just enough to lose the first pick in the draft and lose any chance to draft Luck next April. For for Dolphin fans, it will be another year of watching the Jets and Patriots in the playoffs while the Dolphins continue their decade of irrelevance in the NFL.
