Colin Cowherd: ''Dolphins better then what people think.'' Just listening to the herd and I was surprised, colin said there are 2 teams that he thinks are better then what people think, Miami and SF. He said we have a really good defense and he loves the reggie bush move, he said we need to let chad henne loose in the offense and throw it more, he said we play a type of fball that nobody else plays its ugly and we grind it out, said we won a lot of tough road games last year against GB, vikings, raiders, bills and were good on the road and that shows moxy, he also said he wouldnt be surprised if we go 11-5, take it for what its worth. I didn't write that, and don't necessarily trust his eyes, and know that he probably doesn't do a lot of study..but I agree with most of it.
Colin has always had a lot of respect and great things to say about Parcells, and since we are kind of an extention of Parcells, I think he feels like we are likely to become a successful franchise. Hope he's right!
Well, I do know Cowherd is REALLY down on the Jets, as in flipped to negative on them so from that pov a Dolphins Ascent makes sense, but he is just as likely to not like us in wk #2 so take it with a grain of salt.
Cowherd is a blow hard and I'm not really a huge fan of his. But dude does know football, college and pro
If he thinks San Fran is better then people think they are then why does he have them going 2-14? http://espn.go.com/espnradio/shows/colincowherd/story/_/id/6827095/the-herd-2011-nfl-predictions Do people really think San Fran is a 1-15 team?
Hahaha, yeah I heard that show. Last week we were a middle of the pack, blah team with no identity, going nowhere. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I think we have as much talent as san fran but is Alex Smith and chad Henne better qb then what people are saying about them ? i think with better play calling Henne might be the better qb but if we never throw the deep ball so we really wont know about how good Henne can be until we throw downfield more.
Sorry Guys I guess I'm in the minority, But I love Cowherd's radio show. The only guy I've ever liked better is Farrell. Both of those guys are jam up on football .
I think, like Cowherd thinks, that IF and it's a big if...IF certain things come together, this could be a special team...Henne has to be workmanlike. He can't kill the team with untimely INTs and missed opportunities...he doesn't have to be all pro, just slightly above mediocre...(like for example, how Sanchez has been the last 2 yrs). Second the OL has to be FIXED. Not patched, not tinkered with, but fixed to the point where Thomas and Bush will have some opportunities to show themselves. Third, several players on the cusp need to improve, again not necessarily to all pro status, but Pouncey has to be what we thought he was when we drafted him. Davis and Smith have to hold their own on the corners, particularly while Will Allen is getting back into form. The two safeties have to take the next step. Misi has to take the next step and ( a big 'and') Soliai has to show that last year was no fluke. Lastly, Sheets or Gates or Bush or whoever has to take the returners spots and break a big one once in a while. If several of those things come together...we could be special... it might be too much to ask for, but you never know...
Actually its Moxie.......and it started all from a carbonated drink in the late 1800's..... http://www.alphadictionary.com/goodword/word/moxie
