Our Dolphin D is VG, may be the best in the NFL this year, and at worst will be top 5. How much does that help the guys on O?

Soliai owned Mangold, the All Pro C, and Pouncey is telling him to "bring his best" every play because Soliai is letting up a bit, gotta love it. Smith is saying, on Gates, "if he gets on you, he will blow by you. VD is saying, on Gates, that he will not back down.

Think what you will but, I Have to believe our O will be much better in going against our D every day in practice. To some, having to play vs another team should be a welcome relief.

agreed that it helps to have a good Defense that you go against every day in practice, but how good the defense really is, i´m a little concerned about the guys, pretty much talking so far of how good they are, there are no games played yet, so there wasn´t a chance to prove it, but they will have to make up for that talk quickly when the action starts and i hope there ready for it

If ya don't have the altitude of attitude, ya should not be in the NFL. Being #6 last year adds some credibility.

Based on what I think of this year's D, I may be hoping for a Field's boomer just to watch them. JK/LOL

the last few years i really enjoyed watching the defense more in a game than the offense, although they have that rep to be even better this year, i´m really looking forward what this offense can do, they added a lot to be excited about, just have to show it

I agree, I was just thinking of watching Da Bears in years gone by, who are likely not a VG example. I just recall cheering for a punt to see the "Fridge" and all their geat players play.

I enjoyed watching them even more when Marino carved them up on MNF. That was SPECIAL. :)

I think it helps but it didn't seem to help last year,I feel we have to have the same o-line week to week,it changes to much and not just becuse of injuries.

Then add Burnett and Odrick plus Edds. Defense hasnt been weakened. If the likes of Wilson comes thru as well its all gravy on Defense. And dont forget who we got as Defensive coach on that D. O is my concern.

I was thinking it's gotta be annoying for our offense to go against this defense every day, but like you said, hopefully it'll make them better for it.

Basically, if the offense comes anywhere near being able to move the defense on a consistent basis, we should be easily capable of success this season. Sort of makes one wonder if the big problem the defense on the 80's teams was having to face Marino in practice. That would leave any D feeling a bit like Eeyore. Naw... it was just Olividatti!!!

Well today is the first scrimmage and we shall see what is what, I really hope Bush/Sheets/Grigsby all add that missing element to the O, small plays that turn into long plays.

Really crazy thing is our #2 Defense features Will Allen and Nolan Carroll at Cb, imo they could start for other teams around the league.
