http://www.miamiherald.com/2011/08/07/2348348_p2/coming-back-felt-right-to-taylor.html Well, YMMV, I do not fully understand the injury issues as it sounds like he played through them, but when they occurred and what have you makes little sense to me from a timing POV. And the longshot Dude I'm watching this yr is #48 in the pic, Q Spears, but notice how underdeveloped he looks compared to JT.
Well that's good news, we'll see how it looks when the games come around. He should see some opportunities on the field opposite Wake. Even his level of production with the Jets surpassed what we got from any of our backups.
Getting a healthy JT back for the season, who with his genetics, could be a huge addition to our defense and team.. I respect the move Irish..On a couple different levels. I'am really excited for this defense..
Don't forget how LT was done and look what a great job he did when used the right way. I expect JT to have a solid season. He's also playing where he belongs, with the Dolphins.
“I knew going into last offseason and going to New York that I’d be behind the eight ball. They understood and knew that. I had to fight to get back to being right. I had [the surgery] late, and I couldn’t do anything for three months while it tightened up and healed. So hitting training camp, without OTAs or minicamps, it was the first time using it.” Ughhh....So maybe he's no better off than he was last year ??I mean, hitting TC, without OTAs or minicamps, it'll be the first time using it ???
This is one of the things that confused me a bit, did he mean the Dolphins knew he would need the surgery, or that the Jets knew it? And what about the second procedure on the "compression" whatever it was that did not heal? Did he have 2 surgeries? And when? Not so worried about that LF, JT has been around the block more then one time, he will be in game condition, of that i'm sure of, but I rarely buy into the "vet has surgery and production improves" he is what he is imo. He has looked good in Camp so far, but Murtha did pancake him during the scrimmage, he had 2 sacks and destroyed one screen to Hartline.
Lol@ "if you get hurt on a golf course then there's something wrong with you". So true. Unless we're talking about that scene from happy Gilmore! Good to have JT back. I know he can contribute to this defense.
He was the jest #1 passrush threat last year... Could be very exciting having Wake and a fresh JT/Misi combo on the other side.
I'd like to see Nolan design a package that takes advantage of JT's skills, even at 36, like Saban did in 06. Heck would not mind some 46 looks as well.
