If Nolan Carroll can bump Sapp or Allen to #4 corner, that'd be a nice set of corners.

On a side note, hats off to you for keeping this sub-forum running. I don't always agree with your thoughts but I respect them.

It is disappointing that Allen hasn't recovered fully yet, but a big part of that had to be because of the lockout, where the trainers didn't have access to players...

And you are absolutely right about Sapp. I think this 55 yr old short, fat guy could have played better than he did this past year...well, maybe not...but you get the idea... I'm not sure about Carroll yet either... A healthy Will Allen as #3 CB is our best bet for this year, giving Carroll a bit longer to mature...

Sapp is an NFL CB, no where close to W Allen when healthy. We can only hope for Allen's health to make us a better team.

I'm not counting on W Allen being healthy. If he is, great, but I have serious doubts

If the "undisclosed" injury turns out to be his knee, we really should just cut the guy and move on.

I don't think that Allen isn't ready is as much a result of the lockout as it is indicative the injury may be severe enough to end his career. Certainly an established wealthy NFL player has all the access to private health , performance , therapeutic professionals they need to heal and get better , if their bodies allow that to happen.

I would like to improve on Sapp , however he did make some big plays , be nice if he or someone in that spot did that but made fewer bad plays imo.

I don't see Allen contributing , hope I am wrong as he is very solid veteran presence and has played at a very good level , I just think he's done unfortunately.

I'd take Will Allen's laundry to Sapp's coverage skills any day.

Sapp is not a bad press corner, and he can tackle well, but the plays where he got beat for, far outweighed the plays that he made..I'am hopin Allen can get healthy for the season, him not wearing a sleeve or brace is pretty interesting..

Allen has been nursing this injury almost 2 years now, it's time to accept the fact that he might be done.
