I still refuse to believe that this guy knows every minute detail, every single exact date, for 70 something players and several coaches. This guy is a convicted schemer, and you can bet your *** he did a hell of a lot of scheming on this. **** happened. But allegations don't matter, evidence does. And there's no evidence of anything in that Yahoo article aside from a check to Hurtt, which Shapiro himself claims was repaid. Pictures of players hanging out with Shapiro proves nothing. Phone records showing contact between players and Shapiro proves nothing. It proves that Shapiro befriended a lot of people within the football program, which isn't a violation. Bank statements and receipts prove nothing. Anyone can claim they bought something for someone.

Yes, there are some people in denial that there is actual evidence supporting these claims. I don't think anyone is in denial that this type of thing has happened.

This, and the Rules Cmte's decision on whether or not to proclaim us a "serial offender" are the two next steps to watch like hawks, Donna S has juice in academic circles, Rules Cmte is a mitigation that has to happen.

I thought Shapiro said he saved receipts or some nonsense. If they have receipts then da U is toast, if not, then this will be a story 5 years later as mentioned.

He did say he saved receipts. The problem for him is that the receipts apparently show that he was in two places at once, which means he's lying about at least some of this.

How? Receipts show that he bought ****. There's NO proof whatsoever from these receipts of him buying anything for someone else. You simple can't prove that by a receipt. If that's the case I'm going to show all my bank statements and receipts to the NCAA in an effort to take out my most hated teams...

Couldn't agree more with Highsmith. Ban any coaches/staff involved from ever holding a job with the NCAA again. Remove all kids involved from the record books, and vacate all wins they were involved in. Most importantly, start finding ways to take criminal action against these boosters and rogue agents.

Sue for what? Stupidity? Greed? "he ruined my backup son's shot at glory"? Well, news flash Mr. Highsmith, if your son kept his mouth shut while knowing, he is no better than any of the guys with their hands out.

As to the bans, prove coaches knew what was going on. They can't monitor 100 kids completely. This is why schools have compliance departments. If a compliance department is in on it, as is the case in the UM situation, why should a coach have to take the hit?

Names out of record books, okay. But you can't undo what people saw, and what their talent did on the field. Until the NFL starts taking an active interest in this, nothing will happen IMHO. If they start threatening these kids livelihoods then real change will happen.

Suing for the NCAA punishing innocent kids. Take criminal action against boosters/agents. Ban coaches/players completely. Force players to repay everything, perhaps even their tuition. Vacate wins. Force schools to repay all that profit from bowl games.

Not only is that fair punishment, but it goes a long way into fixing the problem. Coaches won't be so eager to participate knowing they face the threat of never coaching in the NCAA again. Players will think twice about it knowing they'll never be able to step foot on campus again, and have to repay. Boosters/agents will be much more hesitant with the threat of prison time. Schools will start putting more effort into their compliance departments with money on the line.

Look how many teams are getting shafted by boosters and agents. It's about time the NCAA does something about it.

Another day, another piece of the story falling apart. Tyrone Moss now claims he never received any money from Shapiro. The same Tyrone Moss which Yahoo tried to use as evidence stating Moss admitted to taking gifts from Shapiro.

Tyrone Moss forgot that his interview with Yahoo was recorded. So he is actually making things worse by lying with this "denial". There is audio of him making the allegations.

Not at all, what Moss has done is discredit himself, what is Yahoo going to do say "oh he wasn't lying then, but he is lying now"?

That is one of the issue when there is a recanting of a early story, exactly when was he telling the facts of the matter?

Also conceivable that Moss just told Yahoo what they wanted to hear in order to get paid.

What teams have recently gotten the shaft? USC? tOSU?

USC, they will still be successful due to location. tOSU, they haven't had anything handed down by the NCAA yet, all of this stuff was self imposed. Also, had tOSU done their due diligence, they would have NEVER hired the Vest, as Youngstown State had all sorts of issues with the NCAA.

Again, knowing something is going on, and not doing anything about it, like most players do, makes you just as guilty as if you had your hand out. How many of the alleged innocent players spoke up? How many did everything humanly possible to make their story heard? Because if you have some evidence some of these poor innocents spoke up, then by all means, please bring their names up.

The more I look into this, the more I start to believe that players being cleared to play at other schools is not a good sign. No reason for Robert Marve and the Brown brothers not to implicate the worst things possible.

I also know someone from UM who has loaned Moss around $5k over the last few years.

Being reported that 15 players are in line to be declared INELIGIBLE.

The Toad today in part basically admitted some guilt by saying that "the actions of a few".

That dumbass cut a deal. I can smell it.

There is a reason that the investigators have been here all week and all these leaks begin as soon as they got here.

There's audio of Robinson using a misleading question to Tyrone Moss. Even then it's irrelevant. What he told Yahoo makes no difference. All that matters is what he tells the NCAA. He can say he lied to Yahoo for whatever reason. Either way he loses his credibility as a witness.

Coming from Charles Robinson. As if he knows what's going on in the investigations. I do worry about those guys though, they definitely aren't too high on Miami, especially Marve. Even then a couple players admitting things isn't a big deal when there's still not a single bit of evidence to prove anything. When more than a couple players start snitching, that's when I'll start to panic. Of course the chances of that happening aren't very high.

This is a solid move. Glazier is going to get the bottom of this. If there is anything we can get in trouble for, he'll preemptively self-impose sanctions. If he doesn't, then he will beat the NCAA.

What is starting to make me mad is the NCAA has had almost 6 months to let Miami know if there are eligibility problems. They are going to drag this into the season and screw a lot of the kids that had nothing to do with this one way or the other.

It took literal years on the Reggie Bush/USC investigation, but seeing current guys cleared is only a good thing.

What would be helpful is if those no longer attached to the program, but who maybe did some wrong stuff, made themselves unavailable for the NCAA, who has no subpeona power, basically they just walk in and spill their guts for no apparent reason.
